It says the cartridge is not installed correctly but it is not.

you have to reset the printer by pressing the reset botton for atleat 7 seconds. then automatically

I have a Konica Minolta Magicolor 1650en. When replacing color toner, I managed to install magenta and yellow, following menu prompts, but when I try to install Cyan, the cartridge doesn't...

I had a similar problem in that after changing one of the cartridges (I bought a whole set), the message "cannot rotate cartridge" appeared. I tried pressing the cartridge in more firmly and may have caused the carousel to rotate a little in the process. I cycled the power which seemed to clear the error message and allowed me to select the next cartridge to change, but upon opening the door to change it, was unable to remove the old one as it was positioned a little too high. I eventually cleared the problem by manually rotating the carousel by pressing in and holding the carousel release (see arrow) mmgazette.jpgwhile rotating the carousel downward slightly, to line the cartridge up as it appears in this picture. Then powered it back up and was able to do the normal cartridge replacement procedure for the remaining cartridges without further error messages.

A0= Error occurred during carousel movement (position not found). Could be caused by a carousel motor power issue, a missing or misaligned cartridge carrier, an obstruction, or an unexpected cartridge in the carousel path.

I also advise you to update the FW of the loader.

Are you having tapes get "Stuck" in the unit?

Error code 54.2 on a HP printer 4550N

54.2 is a carousel rotation error, could be loose toner that needs cleaning, a cartridge not seated properly, anything that can stop the rotating assembly from turning or sensing that it's turning.

The color is faded on the left side of the page printer, what is the possible cause or solution?

From the service manual:

If the light printing is on the left side of the page, the carousel might be dislocated.

Solution: Verify that the print-cartridge carousel drive teeth are aligned correctly. If the teeth are aligned correctly, replace the print-cartridge carousel.

Replaced toner but keeps saying replace supply using black only

This happens occasionally with after-market (refurbished) cartridges. Sometimes the people rebuilding the cartridges forget to replace the microchip on the cartridge that resets the copy counter. Most reputable re-manufacturers will send you a replacement cartridge if this happens.

It could also be a carousel alignment or sensor issue inside the printer - if this is the case you will have to call HP for service.

Whatever you do, make sure you do not try to manually rotate the carousel to change out the different cartridges - each time you want to change a specific color, close up the printer first and then press the carousel rotate button that's directly under the ready light, keep pressing until the display says that it's rotating to the color you want, then open and change that color, repeat for each additional color.

I have a HP Color LaserJet 2550n printer and the Magenta cartridge has totally run out. The carousel is not rotating when I press the button so I cannot get to the Magenta cartridge to replace it.

Rotate the print-cartridge carousel manually:
Turn the power off and un-plug the power cord.
Open the top cover
press the end of a paper clip into the guide (callout 1) to lift up the carousel brake.It's on the right handside
Then you can rotate the carousel manually.

open the front cover, on the left side there is an you will see a small opening in line with the toner. I used a folded peice of paper to press the small lever inside the opening. This will allow the toner carousel to turn. There is a groove that aligns with a notch on the toner cartridge. Line this up and you should be able to remove the cartridge.

Black replacement cartridge

This is an easy one, you do the black the same as each color cartridge. All four cartridges sit on a carousel that rotates.

Just keep pressing the button that's directly underneath the ready light until it says "rotating to black". After the machine stops rotating, open up the cover and put the black cartridge in.

Hey there.
That indicates that the color toner carousel is not working
correctly. This could be caused by an obstruction in
the carousel path, such as a loose shutter or
disengaged toner cartridge.
Open the carousel door and waste toner tray.
