The typical problem with something like this is the water valve tends to fail. Replacing it isn't too difficult. The water valve is essentially where you hot and cold water connect to the washer. Be sure and unplug the washer before removing it, as 120V is present at the valve when it's activated!

I hope this helps! :)

It won't stop filling up

In the back of the washer where the hoses connect is a solenoid/valve.
The color of the plastic that you see when you remove the hoses is the color of this valve. Very often it is blue plastic.
The valve is replaceable, and yours has likely stuck in the open position.
Behind the valve inside the machine are two or 3 electric wires that tell the valve to open or close.
They are hooked to the timer control.
Unless the timer itself is bad, the valve is your problem.
God bless your efforts.

Whirlpool Washer model # LSN1000KQ0 overfilling

did you plug the hose back into the water level switch, double check to see if it is plugged, if it is your water level switch might be defective. trouble shoot by taking the front panel off... turn on the washer by using the timer, set water level to small...on the bottom of the tub housing there should be a nipple where the clear hose connects onto.....follow the clear hose from the switch down to the bottom of the tub.........disconnect the clear hose on the bottom of the tub.....plugg the nipple with your finger.........gently blow into the hose with your mouth.......but make sure the water level in the tub is at least at half way full...and the washer is on and filling up with water ...after you blow into the hose the washer should agitate.......if it does agitate your water level switch is defective...connect hose back........get your model number and source for the switch.........

My washer keeps filling no matter the size I have

This sounds like a faulty water level switch. It's a diaphragm-like device with a small plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level increases, so does the pressure on the air in the plastic tube and when it reaches a certain level it activates the switch to shut off the water and signals the timer to start appropriate cycle. Make sure there is no damage to or obstructions in the plastic tube. The switch can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty switch. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

When tub filling, it drains out at the same time.

The outlet of the drain hose must be higher than the water level inside the tub--normally the pump inside removes the water when needed. Get a plumber to install a proper height drain pipe for you.

be sure your drain is nearly to the top of the washer if it is you may need to try a siphon break

Frigidaire stackable will not stop filling with water or agitate.

is washer running over or just never filling? if running over suspect small hose to water level switch kinked off or a hole in it..if never filling suspect drain hose too low or no air gap between drain hose and stand pipe hose must catch air to break siphon
