The Contrast screen pops on all the time

The small Contrast screen (where it gives you two options: #1 exit or #2 Brightness) pops on, and we have to to hit #1 on the monitor to exit out.
A minute later the screem pops on again. Sometimes we have to hit exit 3 or 4 time a minute. Our monitor is about 3 years old and this is the first time this has done this.

Re: The Contrast screen pops on all the time

It looks like your UP button contact is demaged.
SOLUTION is to insert a piece from your business card mostly above the button to adjust it down or up. It works fine.

I purchased my Norcent computer monitor four years ago. Now, the sub-menu Contrast/Brightness selection keeps popping up on my screen. So, I have to either push the #1 button to Exit or the #2 Adjust...

It seems to be a hardware issue with the buttons. They are stuck or the rubber cushion under the button has gone bad. That's the reason they are getting pressed automatically. You may take to a local store for a small repair.

The brightness/contrast menu keeps popping up and scrolling through the exit, brightness and contrast options. It is a Dell E173FP monitor. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the cables and...

Try pushing the buttons for the brightness if it does the same thing you need to replace it, the buttons might be damaged already by pushing too hard or it got stuck.
If this is just a new LCD monitor about 1 to 2 years old contact tech support of dell so you can get this replaced.

Display problem

the adjustment box for colour, brightness and contrast stays fixed on the screen. i tried pressing the exit button.... after a few times it disappears only to reappear within a few minutes. also the auto adjustment option, for which we are supposed to manually press the i button, keeps auto adjusting the screen whenever it feels like it. the box appears right in middle of the screen and is a real nuisance as it blocks out the main portion.
