What size belt does a Hoover Elite Rewind use?

The part number for the single belt is 38528040 or a 2 pack 40201190, the belt number should also be on the model number sticker and these can be ordered online or at a local vac shop

What size belt??

The Eureka Whirlwind 4489 uses style U belts, and you can find the Belt Package Assembly- Style U 2pk at the following link:
http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com/Eureka-Electrolux-Sanitaire-Belt-U-Style-2-pack-p/61120.htm
The broken belt usually stays trapped within the housing, so when you remove the necessary pieces in order to access the beater bar, you should find the remnants of the original belt, which you could also use to determine the size you need for a new belt. You might even get lucky and find that the belt itself is ok, but had gotten derailed somehow! Also good to remember is that there is often a second belt sealed within the packaging and instruction manual, so you may already have a spare belt on hand if you stashed the owner's manual somewhere.
Hope that helps! Please rate as helpful if so :) Thanks!

Why is the new belt on my dirt devil featherlite repeatedly slipping off? Everything else on it works fine and the b elt is the correct size.

Hello! There is no other part that goes on the motor shaft after the belt is put on. The tension of the belt keeps the belt from slipping off. If you have a brand new belt that keeps slipping off you may not have the correct belt for the vacuum. Be sure you replace with a genuine Dirt Devil belt and the specified belt style for your particular unit. Hope this helps! Trying to change belt

The procedure for changing a belt will vary depending on the type of vacuum you have. However, I can give you some general guidelines. Unplug the vacuum and turn it over. Generally there will be some type of cover you need to remove to expose the beater bar. This cover can sometimes be removed by taking out screws and sometimes there are plastic tabs you need to push in with a screwdriver to loosen it. Once this cover is removed you will probably see the broken belt. You need to buy a replacement belt of the same size. You can probably look up your vacuum online to find out what size you need. You can also take the old belt to the store and match it up with the available new belts. Once you have a new belt you need to remove the beater bar. The ends of the beater bar will probably fit into some type of indentations or slots. Pull on the beater bar and it should slide out. Place the new belt around the beater bar. Also hook the belt around the metal motor stub located near the rear and to one side of the exposed underside of the vacuum. Now insert the beater bar back into its original slots. This will require pulling hard on the beater bar to stretch the belt forward and away from the metal motor stub. Replace the cover and you’re good to go. I hope this helps you out

Majestic filter queen vacums

Your belt is either stretched or the wrong size or the brush bushings are worn and allowing the brush to wobble or the motor is loose in its housing. You need to check all.
Rotate the brush and try to wobble it from the pulley end.
Flip the belt inside out, it if appears cupped, cracked or shiney and slips easily on and off the brush it is stretched. Generally this unit needs anew belt evrey 6 months, broken or not, they get hot and stretch. Do not buy a new belt by matching size, a worn belt can be 20-30% oversized and not broken but totally useless.
The motor shaft should be cleaned with W/D 600 grit sand paper. Motor should have no wobble in the shaft

The power drive belt of my hoover u3305-030 vacuum keeps falling off, what am I doing wrong?

Hello
One possible solution to your problem is you have the wrong size belt. Check your belt, it should have a letter on it, if it is old, it may be stretched out. Check in your owner's manual, near the belt area, or on the inside of any cover for the correct belt size(which is a letter). Be sure to check that you have the correct size and if not or if it is old, go to your local home depot($1.89+tax for Hoover Model belts) or any other store you know provides vaccuum belts, and purchase a replacement belt.
