Question about Lexmark X6675 Pro Colour Wireless Multifunction Printer

Lexmark sucks I could scan, once in those halcyon days now past. The scanner will show a "Downloading Application List" message, I assume it just doesn't say that it failed but it never seems to download. Noticed that lexmark printers have been having this same problem for several generations, but apparently the solutions that worked for the old ones don't work anymore. I have pressed the button on the printer, run it through the productivity studio (which immediately shows a sort of error message that doesn't actually admit to being an error), tested it as printer (it works that way), unplugged the printer and waited and plugged it back in, reinstalled the drivers on my computer, and am currently waiting for someone to answer my questions on the livechat. I have been waiting for an hour now. Glad I bought one on my own before I ordered them for my company. Anyone know an uncommon workaround for this, because I am kind of stuck with mine for now. Thanks.

Hi,
I had this problem and am still getting it regularly
Lexmark support say remove power and usb leads take off loose top and take out papers turn it on its side and shake vigorously!
It works for me.

SOURCE: scanner won't scan

Right Click on My Computer/Computer if Vista........ Click on Properties then click on Hardware click on Device Manager...... On that list u will see the Printer Name with an exclamation Mark........ Right Click on that click on update Drivers...... Insert the CD to the drive....... Select Browse My Computer for Driver software..... Click on Browse and then Double Click on Computer go to Lexmark X*****.......... Double click on Drivers and then click on scan and then click ok........ Now click next it will say the hardware is ready to use then u can just click on finish and scan..... Thanku

If your pc tels you its downloading application, have a look a your printer drivers, your usb cable connecting your pc to printer and or the data cable inside the scanner might have gone faulty

HI,

You can try out these two options one by one to fix it up:

A)
1 Unplug the printer.
2. Uninstall the drivers.
3. Reboot the machine.
4. Go to the lexmark site and download the drivers.
5. Install the new drivers.

B)You will get the "CANNOT RETRIEVE APPLICATION LIST" if your pc blocks the communication from the printer. This can be configured in your personal firewall. This can be Windows Firewall (found in Control Panel, Security Center), Symantec Client Firewall or similar. Depending on the configuration of this firewall you might or might not get pop-up messages from the firewall during installation. These pop-ups will allow you to permanently allow for this incoming communication. But your firewall might be set not to let you decide anything which will typically mean that the calls will be blocked out. This will often be the case if you have a company laptop configured by the company IT dept. You might then have to ask an admin to add exceptions the applications used by Lexmark as the configuration might not be open for you to change.

Lexmark P6250 won't scan in Vista64


Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned
off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program
that came with the printer.
When the software program asks you to
connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it
should again work properly.

Lexmark X5470 scanner problem


i had the same problem but if you open the Lexmark All-In-One center (can be found in start --> all programs --> lexmark 5400 series --> all-in-one center) and select scan (it will work)

if you dont have the program installed find your installation disk and when u re-install it, it should come up again
