Cause for this error is generally The client is trying to use Secure Password Authentication and it is not enabled on the Exchange Server computer. To verify what form of authentication the Outlook Express client is using, in Outlook Express, on the Tools menu, click Accounts, and click the Server tab for the account that failed.

Also when your adding the 19 to the email it is creating a whole new email. So if you created the new email. then please refer to this link

Hi.

The following tip applies to users that want to access Verizon mail using an e-mail managing software as for example Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and similar.

The checkup procedure and server settings can also be used to setup your verizon email on a mobile or on a PDA.

If the Verizon server responded: Authentication failed, that means that either your ID, or your password had not been recognized.

Ensure that Caps Lock is not on.
ID and password are case sensitive, ensure that you use capitals only if needed.

Ensure that you entered the right user ID and password for your mail.

The ID must be your Verizon email address, or the first part of the Verizon email address (before @ sign). Password must be your Verizon email password.

If for example the address is MyMail@verizon.net , then try first putting id MyMail@verizon.net , if that does not work, try again with MyMail as ID.
The format that is supposed to work on Verizon is MyMail@verizon.net.


Ensure that the server settings you are using are correct:

1. Incoming mail server (POP3) - incoming.verizon.net.
2. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - outgoing.verizon.net.


Ensure that you have not set the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
Ensure that ports are POP3 PORT: 110. SMTP PORT: 25

Turn off any active firewall or security software. Also ensure that your router is not blocking port 110 (for POP server) or port 25 (for SMTP).

If all that does not work, then there may be an issue that depends on Verizon server. Also try calling Verizon online to find out if there is any additional issue that can affect your account.

I get my gmail mails in my mobile mailbox directly however i am not able to get yahoo mail while setting yahoo mailbox its shows DNS fail please help me if you can


make sure you have the correct settings.
Incoming:
Username: yahoo email without @yahoo.com Password: Your password Type: POP3 Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com Authentication: SSL
Outgoing:
Require login: Tick SMTP server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com Authentication: SSL/TLS Port: 587/25

Hi pandi ci smtp autthentication error occurs if the email id or password you configured is wrong or the smtpserver did not respond. the authentic email id should have the same extn as the smtp server
for example:
if your smtp server is smtp.gmail.com ten the authenticating email id should be xxxx@gmail.com.
the error also comes if the smtp authentication has been enabled. you can disable it and send docs without authtion . contact you sys admin . ok hope this helps u . bye

Typically this error indicates that you are trying to send your Adhost email through Adhost’s mail server when you have not authenticated your email account to send mail. Our mail server authenticates you through your pop account. So when you check your email, our mail server authenticates your pop user and password, captures that IP that you are checking your email from, and adds that IP to our relay list. This list is flushed every 70 minutes. This means, if you try to send email after the relay list has been flushed and before you’ve attempted to check your email, you will receive this error.


How to fix the problem:

Fix #1 - reauthenticate on our server.

Remove any email from your Outbox. If you need to keep the message, you can move it to your 'Drafts' folder.
Click "Send/Receive". This will reauthenticate you.
Try resending the email.
Fix #2 - configure your email client to check for email before sending.

In Outlook, go to "Tools" and select "Email Accounts". Make sure "View or change existing e-mail accounts" is checked. Click Next.
Select your account from the list and click "Change".
Select "More Settings".
Select "Outgoing Server".
Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
Select "Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail".
Click "OK", then "Next", then "Finish".

This will fix your problem

Username, Password, etc: Same as Receive Setup
Use SSL: Yes

Receive Setup:

POP3
Server: pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
User name: <my>
Password: <my>
Keep on Server: checked
Incoming Messages Sizes Limit: 512K
Use SSL: Yes

Yahoo email address will not accept my message


Are you using a mail client to send out emails? Outlook maybe? You can enable (check mark) "My server requires authentication" from your outgoing mail server settings in Outlook.

Some mailservers require this to avoid email spamming.
