Is there a rca/headphone jack for the monitor? Make sure that the jack is plugged into the computer's audio out rca jack. A driver should not be needed for the audio on the monitor. If the jack is plugged in make sure that the audio is not muted on the computer. Right click on the speaker icon in the right bottom of the screen on the windows tray nand open the sound mixer. Make sure all the sounds are on. Then check the monitor settings and make sure the sound is on and not muted thru the monitor buttons. If the cable is good and all these things are ok then the internal sound amp in the monitor might be bad.

I need the mulimedia audio controler for dell optiplex sx280 running windows 7

There is no specific driver for your Dell for Win 7. I suggest you to use the windows xp drivers (in case you don't have, download them from this link). Before run the installation file right click on it, choose properties and at the compatibility tab check Windows XP sp3 compatibility and hit apply - ok. Install the drivers as usual.

My computer dosnt have an audio device it is a dell optiplex gx 280 can you please give me a link so that i can download an audio driver

There's a collection of drivers for the GX280 for Windows 2000 and XP on the Dell website: http://is.gd/ejJcM
If you're running a later version of the operating system (for example a 32 bit version of Windows 7) this webpage might have a solution that will help: http://is.gd/ejJmo (Microsoft Technet community)

Optiquest vs11201 monitor not above 640x480 resolution

You need to download the driver from DELL for your video card, my 3000 use video driver R79733.EXE.
You may have virus in your computer if you cannot update the drivers, sometime it is better to start from clean drive to help get rid of stuff that get installed into the computer.

CANT GET WINDOWS XP PRO TO COPY FILES TO A GX280

The problem is the driver for the sata hard drive. You would need to get that from the dell site and put it on a floppy disk, then at the start of the windows install select to install that driver. I ended up just installing the rc version of windows 7 and it worked out fine.
