Question about Microwave Ovens

I just purchased a 2000 VW beetle at an auction, and I have had a problem with the windshield wipers working. I have checked all the fuses and they appear to be fine. The wipers did come on only a couple of times when I first started the car, but when I switched the wipers on and off and to different settings, the wipers would not come back on. Can anyone give me some other solutions? Thanks-Chas

    What type of test light and multimeter should I purchase? It has been rainy here in Virginia and I am afraid to drive my VW into town to buy a light and multimeter at Advanced Auto.

    I have had problems with my old truck or I would drive that.

    There is a auto shop up the road about 5 miles but I am not sure what they would be able to do to find the problem. The local VW dealership is 40 miles away.

    Any suggestions?

    I just think I realized why so many of the fuses were missing. The car alarm continuously wants to sound off when I start the engine. Can you tell me how I can disconnect the VW alarm system?

    Can someone tell me how to deactivate the alarm system on my 2000 VW Beetle? I only have a spare key and when I try to start the car the alarm goes off. I now have found out why so many of the car fuses were missing. The only way to turn off the alarm is to take a fuse out.
    Can someone help me here?

    You just like giving bad ratings >Should we come out and fix them for you .There was a wiring diagram sorry you cant understand so take it to a shop, for if it is not simple you don't want to hear it.

Hi , I am writing here regarding your oil pressure problem. I cannot follow you on the original problem, as the thread is locked to a different poster.

To test the pressure sending unit, disconnect the sender, and see if the warning lamp or gauge reading. If warning light stays on with sending unit disconnected, then there is a contact to ground that keeps oil light on.

Oil pressure can also be tested using a gauge in the oil lines, this will tell you if the pump is working.

On Passat and other VW models there is also a factory defect concerning the oil sender. If tha covers also your Beetle, then repair may be covered by VW. The only way to know is calling VW.

For me the motor have gone you must change before changing ,make a test to it sometimes these motor do work slowly due to its life time,do not wipe it on dry windshield ,put some soapy liquid on it then wipe as on dry it does not work,Mr hope that help you ,i have experience in that field,do that test

    a local radio shack would have a multimeter, oher then that im afraid you need to make the drive. without testing equipment on these cars you are out of luck.

    car hs to br brough to the dealership, needs alarm programed and new keys made and programed to the unit.

If your microwave oven doesn't seem to work at all, check these: Fuses Door switch Fuses Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it. Door switch If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.

Cuisinart Microwave won't heat food


open the casing and replace the blown fuse.there are several so check them all. probably why the machine was in the auction

Not heating


Hope you got a good deal, because you can replace all the microwave components for about $200.00.

It's going to be one of the following components -

1) Fuse
2) Diode
3) Capacitor
4) Transformer
5) Magnetron

Fuse is easily checked. If it's blown, replace with an identical type and rating. If it blows again, then dig deeper.

Diode is very hard to test, and cost is cheap. Replace it.
Capacitor is very hard to test under load, and is a little more expensive. Replace.

Transformer can be tested if you know what your doing.

Magnetron is not easily tested without harm to humans. Replace with same type or approved interchangeable equal.

Flashing red lights


It sounds like you are talking about the indicators as shown and explained on page 7 of your owner's manual.

The one that looks like windshield wipers (#10) is the microwave indicator. The ones that look like bowls of soup are the High Cook and Low Cook indicators (#24 & 25).

If you don't still have your owner's manual, you can download it here free. You will need the free Adobe Reader to view or print it.

Look on the internet auction sites (ebay etc)

There is quite a trade in them. Make sure match the dimensions of yours before purchase.
