This may be caused by a couple of things:

The drain pump is not able to run, perhaps something went into the drain pump and it's jamming the motor OR there is a clog in the drain line.

Maybe small bones of pieces of glass are causing this. On this case, it needs to be removed.

Did you had a new disposer installed lately? If so was the plug in the disposer, where the dishwasher drain line hooks up, knocked out? Most of the times, the plug is not removed so the drain pump from the dishwasher can't drain the water.

Did you got the appliance long time ago? If nothing above is causing the issue, perhaps the drain pump needs to be replaced, you may need to contact a service technician to do the job if you have no previous experience repairing dishwashers.

Good Luck!

The inlet valve is bad not filling or if the drain motor is plugged or defective. You need to pull the unit out on the back side is the drain motor take it off and verify that it is clear. Also if the drain hose is hooked to a disposal make sure the punch is knocked out of the disposal.

It is likely the inlet valve is faulty provided the tap under kitchen sink is open and there is water supply to the dishwasher.

Asko dishwasher did not finish complete washing cycle and now has a very low humming sound. It will not start washing cycle. I have turned it on and off but after I turn it back on humming sound...

Some wash water may have gotten into the bottom pan area below the wash tub. If water has overflowed from the tub into the bottom pan, the drain pump will activate and remain active until water has been removed from the bottom pan. To check for this, the lower front panels will need to be removed. With power turned off at the breaker, a wet-vac can be used to remove water from the bottom pan. If there was water there, check the door seals, door closure and make sure the drain hose has a high-drain loop. If the drain is shared with the kitchen sink, it may simply have backed up into the dishwasher through the drain hose when a full sink was emptied. The best drain system is for the dishwasher to have its own separate drain.

Our Asko 1885 Dishwasher is stuck in drying mode

Check if the other functions of the dishwasher are OK such us when filling, draining or the heating element heats up properly. The control board may have detected some errors and it is not proceeding. You may have to have the parts involved in the faulty function checked out such as the valves for the drain and the fill if your machine is not filling or draining properly or filters blocked. Check the heating element and inspect the assembly for burns especially on the relays. The machine may not be heating correctly that is why it is not finishing the cycle. If these parts checks out OK, you may want to have the control board checked out or replaced.
