Question about Computers & Internet
Hi i just converted my old laptop hdd into an external hdd. The hard drive worked fine at the vendors computer which had xp but when i used it on my home pc which also has xp it didnt work. There was no sound for usb connect or no popup for usb detected. I have laptop which has vista and it works fine in that pc. Can you please help me with this issue???? and yes i have service pack 2 installed....
Your USB ports may be version 1.1
You need a USB "Y" cable.
The USB Y cable uses two USB ports on your laptop and the third plugs into the external HDD.
Check RadioShack or maybe the vendor has a USB Y cable.
This will work!

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
