My wife put a small bottle of 2 cycle oil directly in the gas tank of my Weedeater edger and then added gasoline. Bless her heart she tried to help me out. Emptied the tank and refilled it correctly but...

Take the air filter off and make sure it is not soaked with oil. Leave if off. Get some carburetor/choke cleaner and have someone spray it into the carburetor throat while you are pulling the starter. You may have to open the choke to do this. You may also need to pull the spark plug and clean it if it is oil fouled. Hopefully, no real damage has been down and the machine will eventually start.

We need to put oil in our scooter, but have no idea if it's a 2-cycle, or 4-cycle engine... We own a 2004 Yamaha Scooter Attack... We bought 2-cycle motor oil, but it gives us ratio on the back of it,...

CHECK THE OIL DESCRIPTION ON THE BOTTLE, IF IT READS SUITIBLE FOR PREMIX AND AUTOLUBE,THEN THE OIL WOULD BE FINE FOR EITHER USE, PREMIX SIMPLY MEANS YOU MIX IT WITH THE PETROL AND THE ENGINE IS LUBRICATED AS THE FUEL ENTERS THE CYLINDER IN AN ATOMISED STATE. AUTO LUBE YOU WOULD PUT THE OIL INTO A CONTAINER IE A STORAGE BOTTLE BUILT INTO THE MACHINE, LIKE THE LITTLE HOLE NEXT TO THE GAS TANK YOU DESRIBED AND THE OIL IS FED BY A PUMP AS THE ENGINE RUNS TO LUBRICATE THE ENGINE , I CAN ASSUME IF YOU HAVE A STORAGE BOTTLE NEXT TO YOUR GAS TANK WHICH HAS SOME DESCRIPTION OF ENGINE OIL THEN YOUR MACHINE IS A 2 CYCLE AND NOT A 4 CYCLE IMPORTANT DO NOT ALOW THIS OIL TO EMPTY AS YOU WILL HAVE TO BLEED THE SYSTEM TO REMOVE AIR AND ALLOW THE OIL THROUGH.

Goodman CLJ36-1A with bad Copeland Compressor CR30K6-PFV. Any suggestions where to get a replacement compressor?

Not a DIY project. You'll need refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pump, manometer, refrigerant scall, refrigerant disposal bottles, high pressure nitrogen tanks and regulators, acetelyn tanks with regulators and torch tips not to mention EPA license. Call a reputable service company. In South Central PA, fair price range is $1,500 - 2,000. If the unit is more than 10 years ole, replace the condenser (if they can get one for your refrigerant) for about $1000 more.

It sounds like you have a contaminated oil source. I'd buy a new bottle, clean the tank again, and see if things improve.

My engine is making a light/medium ticking noise. it increases with acceleration. i have 95 neon with a 2.0L SOHC. what is causing this noise?

check your oil........ it sounds like a lifter in the top of the engine. if you let it go to far you might take the chance of having a rod thrown through your engine.
