R50e PC Notebook Problem

I am not able to use the power adapter for recharging or for a power supply, is it my power port?
To confirm I have used the adapter on another similar laptop and no problem with the charger, I have also switched battery with another similar laptop and mine laptop works fine. How do I fix this?

And once you get the power socket (pin) repaired, get a Cable Retention Device like the video shows. . .

If the power socket is a separate section replace it else replace the motherboard. The power socket is probably loose.

I have a Hasee e130 notebook and it does not recharge the batteries. First I thought it was the battery but the same battery recharges on other notebooks. How can I solve the problem ?

when you charged the battery on the other notebook did you use your notebook's ac-dc power adapter unit. I would try using the other notebook power ac-dc adapter on your notebook or get a voltmeter set on DC voltage 20volt range and test your notebook AC-DC adapter produces the required DC voltage of the Notebook requirements.

It's probably your power jack inside your laptop. It's attached to your motherboard, it's not making a connection with the cable when you plug it in.

Or you might have to call a local repair shop.

It appears not all R50e laptops come with wireless interface built in. This means if your model is one of those then you will have to buy a wirelss adapter and put it in the USB port or use a PCI wireless adapter if it has a mini PCI slot.

Check this site.

You will need to confirm what model type your laptop is and download the specific user manual from this site to see if there is a wireless connection. You could also refer to this service manual if it helps in identifying the actual wireless interface for your model.

ON a Gateway 7330gz why would it power up the moment you plug in the A/C adapter, yet not give any Video, and ignore the power button?

Hi,
It seems that your AC adapter has no output. To confirm test it using the multitester. Check also the power cord for internal open due to frequent bending and pulling. Check the internal fuse of AC Adapter sometimes it fails due to power surge. If you confirmed that this is faulty you can check ebay.com, shopjimmy.com for replacement or on your local electronics supply.
Hope it may help you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Power cord attachment into the back of computer seems worn, it wants to run off battery instead of recharging through power supply

Either Have A Failing AC Adapter, Or A Failing DC Jack
you can test the AC Adapter using a multimeter (available at any home improvement center for $6)..
The DC Jack Would Need To Physically Be Checked To See If It's Faulty... which would intail removal of all parts down to the motherboard and visually inspect the DC Jack (the port where the Charger Cord Plugs into)
