Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone
Hi, I would truly appreciate any help or advice
Having looked all over for my phone on saturday morning, I was surprised when I saw it sadly staring back at me from the wet garden grass. It had been raining all night, so I quickly took it in, removed the battery and tried drying the phone out with a hairdryer. I turned on the phone and thought I had done the trick; However, the screen just stayed white.
I let it dry for the rest of the day and later thought a miracle had happened when the sonny-Ericsson logo loaded. I didn't wait for the phone to fully load though and quickly put in the sim card. I turned the phone back on, but the screen was white again.
I've tried drying the phone some more, but it hasn't seemed to work yet. I was wondering if someone had any advice on what I could do to fix it?? (Baring in mind that the phone is not under guarantee)
Put the phone in a baggie full of rice and seal it. Make sure to take apart the battery and sim card. The rice will act as a desiccant, drying it over night.

Take the phone to a service centre who will attempt to do what we call an ionic bath. this is a bath of electricity and pure alcohol.
they should then use i fibre glass pencil to clean trhe contacts properly. you may also need a replacement screen depending upon how badly the water damage is.
