What is the best way to tie the inverter into the breakes that supplies power to my TV's 2nd would it be better if I just installed a 30 amp socket and plug my shore cable into it. I know that I waoud have to turn off my converter and put my fridge on propane. which would be the best fix?

My only other question is if I plug my shore cord into a 30 amp plug fron the inverter this would hot up everything in the motorhome. fridge on propane and converter off. got it..But if all I wanted to do was to hook the inverter to the breaker that supports my TV's can I just attach the wires from the inverter to the breaker or is there somthing else I need to do before I attach the wire?

Second option seems to be longer lasting if you can afford the fridge on propane.

Hi,

a) a nice setup would be adding a new 15 amp breaker for your fridge with a 15 amp socket

b) the new breaker should be connected to the input side of the former breaker

c) if that would be the setup, you can turn off the two unit individually

hope i have helped you, thanks for using Fixya!

    1) you need to turned off the inverter first

    a) remove the supply of the inverter to be sure

    2) then you can attach the wires of the output of the inverter to the input of the breaker

    a) the output of the breaker goes to your TV

I am getting a black screen constantly, this is the 2nd Samsung Smart TV we have had with the same problem. This TV is only 3 years old

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board.
This is a common fault to all models of modern Samsung brand LCDs.

LG LED TV 55LN5600. Backlight goes off after maybe 30 minutes. The sound is on. picture is on (tested with flash light). Replacing power supply board did not fix the issue.

I have solar panels that put out a little more voltage then they are rated at,and they keep faulting out my grid tie inverter.I need a resister to knock down the voltage about 8 volts, got any ideas?

I like to ask, is the voltage from the solar panel messure with some load connected or is open circuit, normally solar panels produce high voltage than the working system, the reasson for that is to have Amperes in of to charge the batery, these is related to the size and power generated by the panel.
No need a resistor or in any case use a voltage regulator to prevent over charge.

Reverse polarity hook up blew fuse link. Where can i get the correct fuse link to solder into the stanley inverter pc809 800watt?

Hmmmmm, well that`s unfortunate , i can tell you that most electronic devices that connect to low voltage DC supply's are protected bye a protection diode and the fuse link you think it might be is a circuit trace internal.
an 800 watt innverter draws about 80 to 100 amp to produce the 800 watt output and you must have 2 40 amp fuses or 3 30 amp fuses customer replaceable, if you did not damage the components in your device all you kneed to do is to repair the circuit trace and replace the reverse polarity protection diode to restore normal operation

there are no fuse links internal to inverter power supply's

best regards Falco

What is the cprimary load on a 12volt to 240 volt 300watt inverter

Ohm's law tells us that: volts = amps x resistance and watts =volts x amps. Watts (300) = volts (240) x Amps (?); or 300 / 240 = 1.25 Amps That means the inverter can supply up to 1.25 Amps to a 240 volt load.

The primary is 12 volts, this is just 1/20th of the secondary 240 volt output. Since the best you can ever get is 100% efficiency -this means you'll need to supply 20 times the current. 1.25 Amps (at 240V) x 20 = 25 Amps (at 12V). As a check, from above Ohm's law that states Watts=Volts X Amps we get: 12VDC x 25Amps = 300Watts. Check!

Some side notes. The Ohms law used above is for DC circuits and purely resistive loads on AC circuits. I do not know what your 1.25 A @ 240VAC load is - but I suspect it won't be purely resistive. Also, since we're working with an electronic inverter as opposed to a transformer and DC rectifier there are some things that push losses higher. You might need to provide a 30 Amp 12 VDC source voltage in order to provide the 1.25A @ 240VAC output. Lastly, I wouldn't not run the output at maximum for long periods of time - or at all. 1 Amp @ 240VAC would be much better.

I hope this answered your question & good luck! Please rate my reply - thank you.

How would you test the power supply blacklight inverter borad to find out why it is blowing the fuse.

If you can find the connection that actually connect the lighting system, this will remove the load and the fuse will remain good. Better still run a voltage check across the fuse line with a DMM, to save further damage to the TV. At best replace this power inverter board!
