We have an HP OfficeJet G85. Sometime overnight the small geen lights on the control panel started blinking and won't stop. The display says...error c00f0401, and the scrolling message says...Turn power off and on. We have turned the power off and on, and the printer off and on, with no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ed.

Go to your device manager and find it - hi-light it and delete it. Go to your control panel and find it - hi-light it and delete it. Install the new drivers. Get the mew driver from www.hp.com/support Remove all connections to the device before you start the new install. Follow the on screen directions.
This has nothing to do with Microsoft Office.
unistall the printer from start>>control panel>> add and remove program.
reinstall the printer software, and connect the printer by following the on screen pormpt.
Check the scanner cable and the status of the LED's in the scanning head. Unluckily, you printer is disposable, to HP that problem will mean to discard the entire printer and replace it for a new one if it's still under warranty.
ok...first thing...go to www.hp.com and download a fresh set of drivers for your printer, and then restart it and see if that helps. I have that happen to my G85 whenever the power gets awful(not saying that's your reason, but can be an issue)..
