You have to go into preferences to set this option

Office button > dialog box opens> at the bottom there is an options tab. > click proofing on left drop down. there are loads of setting in here.

Word 2013 the Underline feature quit working, only uses the dots one


This sounds like it may actually be a keyboard issue. try another keyboard. If the items work on say something else like note pad or on free office then you may need to download mr fixit etc to see if it can find the fault. That then may require that you re install Office.

When I try text message I type the fist word and it comes out underlined, then I try to type another word but a different word comes out underlined


Happens to me probs you spelled the words wrong or it thinks you spelled it wrong

How do i post an away message


  • After you create the automatic reply message and set up the filter, you must leave your computer running and Outlook open in order for the message to work.
  • using the method below to set a rule that sends reply messages to all senders except those who are posting to a LISTSERV list. This prevents reply messages from being sent to everyone on a list.
  • Outlook's Out of Office Assistant tool is another option for setting an automatic reply message; however, you cannot set rules for specific mail, such as LISTSERV lists.
  • If setting a rule is not necessary, instructions on using the Out of Office Assistant can be found on Microsoft's How to Use the Out of Office Assistant in Outlook Web page.
To create and use an automatic reply message:
  1. Create an away message.
    • In 2007, at the top left of the window, click the New button.
    1. In the body of the message, type the away message you want to use.
    2. Save the message.
      • In 2007:
        1. Click the Office Button.
        2. From the drop-down list, select Save As.
    3. From the Save as type: drop-down list, select Outlook Template (*.oft).
    4. In the File name: text box, type: away
    5. Save the file to your desktop.
    6. Close the message window.
    7. Click the No button.
  2. To use your away message, set up an automatic reply filter.

You may experience the problems in the following scenarios:

Scenario 1
When you try to activate a Microsoft 2007 Office suite, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
  • You receive the following error message:Your software cannot be activated because the product key you installed with is not valid. Please uninstall the software and reinstall it using a valid product key.
  • The activation process fails. Additionally, you receive a message that states that you have reached the limit on the number of computers on which you can activate the 2007 Office suite.
Scenario 2
When you successfully started a 2007 Office application and all functions worked correctly for you in the past, you receive an error message. The error message indicates that significant changes were made to the configuration of the computer. In addition to this error message, you may also experience any of the following symptoms:
  • When you try to activate the 2007 Office suite, the Activation Wizard disappears.
  • When you try to to activate the 2007 Office suite over the Internet, you receive a communications-related error.
  • When you try to activate a 2007 Office suite , the Activation Wizard does not start. Additionally, you receive no error messages.

Scenario 3
You try to activate the 2007 Office suite over the phone. However, after you enter the confirmation ID that the support staff supplied to you, you receive an error message. The error message states that the confirmation ID is invalid.

Scenario 4
When you successfully started a 2007 Office application and all functions worked correctly for you in the past, the 2007 Office application now runs in a reduced functionality mode.

Scenario 5
When you start a 2007 Office Trial version for the first time after you complete License Activation, the 2007 Office Trial version runs in a reduced functionality mode, and the Office Activation Wizard is displayed. Additionally, the following text is displayed:

2007 Office system is expired. In this expired state, many features of the version are unavailable until you convert to the full product. Click Convert to begin the conversion process.

Note This activation problem indicates that the Opa12.dat file is corrupt for the 2007 Office application. Scenario 6
When you try to obtain an activation key for a trial version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system over the Internet, you receive the following error message:The Microsoft Activation Assistant was unable to request your trial activation key
This issue is temporary until the updated version of Try Microsoft Office 2007 is available. How do I put bullets after the underline where Supervisors will put their initials. I just want to put the bullets after the underline


Hi,
What I can get from your Question is that you wish to add a line and a bullet after it.
You can draw a line simply (SHIFT+_) and adding the required symbol as bullet after that as shown below (from INSERT and clicking the Symbol Sign)

I have windows xp and my microsoft word 2007 has crashed. Nothing else except word. Can u pls help me? thanks


If I understood correctly your Word 2007 application is still running correctly, right?.

If that is the case you repair your installation of Office 2007. To do so:
  1. Open Word 2007
  2. Click the Globe at the Top left of the Word Window (Yellow globe on the screen capture I am inserting)
  3. At the bottom of the Popup window that opens look for the button Word Options and click it.
  4. In the Menu that displays look for Resources and click that option.
  5. Select Office Diagnostics
  6. Perform the diagnostics and repairs.

best guess is you install office 30days ago and forgot to register. if you haven't registered yet, please do so and install latest service pack.
