SOURCE: power cord hook up color code red white black

if your plug and outlet are 4 blade, two blades will be flat, the black will connect to one flat blade and the red will connect to the other flat blade, makes no differance to which, the white will connect to the middle blade with a silver color screw terminal, the others will always be brass in color!,the green will connect to the blade that is either "L" shaped or round.looking at the male plug from the blade side it looks like a crows foot, top left blade will be at 11 oclock, right blade will be at 1 oclock, these two are critical, one must be black the other must be red, center is white, other is green. good luck.

SOURCE: Wiring on a RCA RJ-45 wall jack

the RJ45 wallplate is not meant for ethernet. It's an 8P8C connector for a phone. Will it work as a network jack? Maybe. I wouldn't use it, but if you really want to try, wire it thusly:

1 Blue --- Orange/White
2 Orange --- Orange
3 Black --- Green/White
4 Red --- Blue
5 Green --- Blue/White
6 Yellow --- Green
7 Brown --- Brown/White
8 White --- Brown

I'd still recommend a CAT5 wallplate with a CAT5 jack.

SOURCE: Install aftermarket tachometer

I'll take a stab at this, there's better than a 50-50 chance, and you can do no damage if the first try is wrong. Red is +12 volts and Black is chassis ground. that's a given. I would try Blue to coil pack "Tach" terminal, and Green for the dashlight. If I am right about the Blue and Green, a 9-volt battery from Green to Black will light the light if it's not burned out. If the Green doesn't light it, try the Blue, but my bets on the Green. If the Blue doesn't light it either, the bulb is toast.

I replaced ECG cable for **** jiang machine ,new have different colors of limb lead ,white for RA,black for LA,green for RL,red for LL , so previous lead red forRA ,yellow for LA green for RL ,black for LL...

First off wires are wires so the color bear no significance to their performance. The color coding is solely for the user to place the wires in the proper place.

What appears to have happened is your old wires were based off the European Colour Code and your new lead wires are American Color Code.

For American color coding remember clouds (RA - white) over grass (RL - green) and smoke (LA - black) is over fire (LL - red).

Jet sound equalizer js 214 wire color code

Black wire is ground, Red with 5a fuse is hot. Green/black is L Ground BTL, Grey /black is right ground BTL, the RCAs are left and right low level inputs. Then there is the 5 pin connector. It has a red wire for +12v, two black wires for input grounds, a green wire for left Hi input and a gray wire for right high input. If you install using traditional common ground high level, then you don't used the two BTL wires. Just connect the wires from your 5 pin connctor. If you use the low level RCAs for inputs, then you only need to connect the red and black from your 5 pin connector.(Plus the main red and black) Make sure the switched on the bottom of your EQ are set correctly. COM for common ground and LOW for RCA input or High for Green/Gray wire input. If you are using a floating ground the select BTL and connect the two BTL wires to the floating grounds of your stereo. There is also a line input adjuster so you can adjust your input sensitivity to match your reciever. I have the owners manual if you have any other questions.

Hi just wondering about 240 volt. What is the black wire and what is the red one and green and yellow....Which one is L1- N- E

The black wire is Half of the 240 volts. Both the black and red wires carry 120 volts to make 240 volts. The green wire is going to be your grounding wire. The yellow wir is more than likely your neutral wire (although that goes against the electrical code). Tie in L1 to either black or red. Attach the yellow to n. I hae no idea what the E stands for. What color and how many wire are coming from the oven?

Electrical box has one red and one black wire and the switch has two balck wires and a green wire. How do I connect them?

If I understand correctly, you are replacing a switch that has a black and red wire?
And your new switch has 2 black wires + green wire

The green is color-code for ground, and it always connects to bare ground wire.
The switch wires are not color-coded (both are black) so they can connect to either of the two wires that came off old switch.
If switch does not operate, they try reversing the two black wires.

As a general rule, the wires inside your box are color-coded.
The color-code information says:
The black is the Hot from breaker box. This wire carries electricity from the breaker to the switch.
The red wire goes to Load (fan, light, motor). This wire carries electricity to the Load when you turn ON the switch.

Going from 220amps to 110 and wanting to know the color codes to do so ?

in 220 volt the RED and Black are the 2 phase hot wires, the white wire is neutral and Green is earth ground,to convert to 110 volts just delete one of the 2 hot phase wires either the RED or Black to only get 110 volts (normally delete the RED wire,so if anyone looks at it later they will understand, because usually the BLACK is your HOT 110volt wire, the White is the Neutral or ground wire and green is still earth safety ground)

I. must change the cable on the dryer to fit the outlet I have

The wiring color code is as follows:

RED - HOT (120 VAC)
BLACK - HOT (120 VAC)
WHITE - NEUTRAL ( 0 VAC)
GREEN - GROUND

The RED and BLACK combined is what comprised your 220 service to run the appliance. The following link explains this in better detail:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r793520-3_prong_4_prong_power_cord_conversion

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

NOTE: This is for United States Standard Wire code. If you reside outside the US, please let me know. In addition, homes built after the year 2000 are REQUIRED to use the 4-wire configuration to be within standards. If you're home already had a 3 wire outlet installed, however, you do not need to change it.

Suburu radio wire harness. trying to match up with a new soni deck

Hello uze7, Here is the wiring match up for a 2009 Subaru Forester using the Metra 70-7552 wiring harness: NOTE: The actual harness will be listed as a Nissan harness, but has been used by Subaru since 2007. Also, I'm assuming that your Sony deck uses the standard color code. If not, you should have a manual that lists the function along with the colors. Match the wiring by function, not by color (although the colors may be the same). 2009 Subaru Forester Radio Wiring Color Code: Battery BLUE/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Accessory YELLOW/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Ground BLACK (-) RADIO HARNESS Illumination VIOLET (+) RADIO HARNESS Dimmer BLACK/WHITE (-) RADIO HARNESS Power Antenna YELLOW/BLACK (+) RADIO HARNESS LF Speaker (+) BROWN LF Speaker (-) BROWN/WHITE RF Speaker (+) BLUE/WHITE RF Speaker (-) BLUE/YELLOW LR Speaker (+) WHITE/BLACK LR Speaker (-) RED/YELLOW RR Speaker (+) GRAY RR Speaker (-) GRAY/RED Metra Harness: Yellow ? 12V Constant Red ? 12V Accessory Black - Ground Orange ? We bought an electric dryer from sears outlet

220 Cords are usually color coded - BLACK, WHITE, RED, GREEN for Ground. Inside the dryer where you connect the wires should be the same colors. Just put the Black with the Black and so on. Make sure the plug is for a dryer and not a stove.
