How to wire a 110v reversible motor to three-way

110 volt units have a different 3 pin plug. You will need to fit a standard Australian 240volt plug on the cord. Get a sparkie or someone competent to wire it and fit it. The black will be Neutral, the White, active and the green is earth. Make sure the DPDT switch is set to 240 otherwise you will burn it out. I will assume that you are in Australia and using the 110Volt through a step down transformer. You should be able to get an adaptor for the transformer to save having to swap 3 pin plugs every time you want to change voltage supplies.

For the Emerson Rescue EchoTech Motor (M055PWCRY), sometimes the handy reversing method (simply flipping the connector around) fails to work right and the motor keeps going the wrong way. Attached are photos showing how to open up the motor and then there are 2 steps to try. If step 1 fails to get the motor going the right way, move on to step 2. After performing step 2, simply removing the jumper will change the motor direction. The reversing plug-in connector will no longer have any effect after following the instructions in the photos.

My friend did a pretty good search for similar toggle

1) He found a 'wall-type' 30Amp DPDT at Global
2) He said he couldn't find others ... but the internet changes.
3) This switch could be mounted in a box that screws to side of chipper. Switch will work fine with 125V.
4) Radio shack and the automotive stores carry 5 amp versions of the DPDT, but they burn up like you said

-Power on global DPDT connects to poles L1 and L2
-L1 switches to A1 & B1 ... while L2 switches to A2 & B2.

Try L-BLACK 1-GRAY 2-BROWN 3-PURPLE. IF THIS COMBO DOESN'T WORK. BLACK WIRE GOES TO L , 123 IS YOUR SPEEDS YOU WILL HAVE HOOK THEM UP BY PROCESS OF ELIMINATION FIGURE OUT WHICH IS HIGH MED & LOW. IT SHOULD BE 1-HIGH 2-MED 3-LOW.

Most motors will have a wiring diagram on them with numbers not colors, and show the wiring configurations for both voltages. If you do not have this then you may want to contact a motor shop and see if they can get it wired for you.

I had the same inquery at my shop today on a Cummins hoist #6832. I have attached a PDF and am pretty sure this is how it goes. Hope this helps. Spent a good afternoon researching this one.
