I have a 36in.toshiba tv when you turn it on the picture is distorted until it warms up or you can hit the tv and it comes on right away. Thanks

If you knew about tv and how to deal with tv trouobleshooting try to resolder power supply and vedio portion on the pcb.

You have leky caps in your regulated power
supply they are typ 220 uf 200v and are large
and round next to flyback

Picture won't come in clear until TV "warms up" for 15 minutes or more


Change the capacitors first per the instructions in the link below. Symptoms could be anything from high-pitched hum to no picture at all. On these defective models, I would start at the caps and work back. It won't hurt to replace them anyway.

Color distortion


Problem on CRT board, this is the board on the back of the tube. It has a open transistor for the green.
