Question about ViewSonic VX2235WM Monitor
Did you test it on a desktop computer?
If you didn't, or if you find that it does work on a desktop computer, the monitor is ok:
You laptopn is behaving like it is connected to a multimedia projector.
Connect the monitor to one of the laptops.
1. Depending on the laptop brand, locate the special [Function] key. Generally near the lower left keyboard and marked in blue (usually).
2. Press that [Fn] key and hold it down while also pressing the [CRT/LCD] key along the top of the keyboard one time. release both keys and wait a few seconds. The screen will come on. (The CRT/LCD key may have a different name or symbol)
3. repeat step #2 if it didn't come on. There are 3 modes, you have to get into the correct mode.
4. One mode will turn off your laptop screen, not to worry, press the sequence again and it will turn on again.
Hope this helps.
