Hi there! To prepare for cleaning, put the solution and water in the top tank. While cleaning, all the dirty water gets sucked into the bottom tank. To clean squeeze trigger to release cleaning solution and slowly push carpet cleaner forward, this equals one wet stroke. Continue to squeeze trigger and slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you (second wet stroke). Release trigger and slowly push carpet cleaner forward over area just sprayed with solution (dry stroke). Then slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you without squeezing trigger (dry stroke). To avoid saturating the carpet don't do more than 4 wet strokes over one area. Always end with dry strokes. Here is a link to view the instruction manual if needed.

I brought a rapide ultra carpet washer today , cleaned half of my front room brilliant then stopped spraying water using the trigger on the handle, as the handle comes off for easy storage I took it off, and what\'s happing is when you pull the trigger to release water a piece of plastic pushes on another piece ov plastic to release water and it was not working only by me pushing my finger on the other piece of plastic in side the handle bit, so mines going back ,

Make sure thre is no air lock in the system line. So first of all use a clean line to wash off and blow out any dirt in the spray gun.
make sure the engine is having good fuel and power it on to run and warm up . let it run over without any load on it . Now turn the hose on it and power it on slowing, do not stop but keep it running to power spray . The accumulated dirt might come off and make the run smooth after some time.

I had somewhat the same problem.... I had water comming out but the solution was not comming out.... I called bissell and the woman talked me through it.... first put in water only mode,,,,, then Fill water tank with fresh water and put back in place,,,, then remove soap dispenser put to the side,,,, now , power on your cleaner,,,, for the next steps, do this exactly as I tell you >>>>>>hold down the trigger that releases soap the whole time you do the following>>>>>> switch between water only and heavy traffic four times,,,, all while while holding the trigger, then still holding the trigger, stop on high traffic the fourth time, leave it there,,, now put the soap bottle back in,,,,, still holding the trigger and hold the trigger down for exactly one minute after you replace soap bottle,,,, you should start seeing the soap come out........ The water release probably has the hose pinched shut. Storing it with the trigger depressed will eliminate this. You'll have to find the spot, where the hose gets pinched, to shut off the flow and turn it 90°.

My Bissell stops releasing shampoo when the handle is lacked upright, when there is no water in the tank (the most common cause of this issue), or when water is not flowing through the machine because the sprayers are clogged.

Make sure the shampoo container grommet is releasing properly when you press the trigger. To check this, remove the shampoo tank from the Bissell, stand over a sink, and use a finger to push up inside the grommet on the shampoo container, the part of it that mates with the rest of the Bissell. Shampoo should dribble out when you do this. If it won't, the grommet may be clogged.

from your description, the trigger sounds like it is stuck in the release position. this sounds like a very simple repair. The component parts need to be looked at by a service shop
