The OS has to be installed on the hard drive, not the motherboard.

If you have the user manual, it is just a matter of following the instructions, and in most cases with the cdroms or dvd, usually no problem.
You gave no information if another OS is on the hd or not.
If you have another OS on the MB, and want to upgrade, that is one way. If you want to wipe the old OS off and reformat the drive and start over, the instructions to do that will come up as an option as you put in the disk and proceed.

I just install windows 7 OS but no audio, where

Go to the following DriverEasy website, download and install. Follow the instructions and it should allow you to download and install the correct drivers for your Motherboard. Much easier than trying to find the drivers on the ASUS website.

Reinstall the OS using a bootable OS CD. By the way, what is the OS you are using? Some OSes can be repaired without installing the whole thing.

Pci slot seems dead

so windows XP doesnt detect your new hardware. Try these suggestions:

1. Re install by reconnecting it to their respective slots.
2. Check, if the cards connected, supports PLUG and PLAY which means it can be detected automatically if connected to the slots.
3. If it is not plug and play, you have to configure it manually, try to install its software cd.

To see if it is already detected, go to the my computer and check the hardware devices connected menu (I hope you can browse to go to that menu) next, if it is already detected
all items listed there must have no question mark on it and X mark.

If you have this mark, it means that the driver is not installed yet or you have to reconfigure it.
