Two ways to change your "screen settings":

1. Right-click one time on an empty area of your desktop.
2. Select "Properties" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on the "Settings tab" along the top.
4. Move the "Screen resolution" pointer to the left or right along the bar, depending on which way you need it.
5. To test it, choose "800 by 600 pixels" to the far left.
6. Click [OK].
7. Your screen will temporarily change. If you like the setting, accept the setting.
8. If your screen "goes away" ... not to worry ... It will return to the way it was in a few seconds if you don't select anything.

Hope this helps!

Try changing the resolution... try many different settings until you find the best one.

Also could be a driver issue, or video card issue.

Probly your resolution though. Right-click anywhere on your desktop and go to properties. Go to the settings tab, and slide the "screen resolution" slider and test each setting. You probly want 1024x768 or 800x600 depending on your monitor. or 1280x1024.

good luck.

Touch the button once again. If fails, check if any cables have been loose when you touched, if it's so, fit them properly.

Lg monitor shape setting

HI, please be more specific in what the problem is!

Is your desktop not fitting on the screen properly?

If that is the case, there is usually an "auto" setting that can solve the issue, and that is found in the monitors setting menu, or via a button on the front... Also some monitors will auto adjust when you first turn them on.

If that does not solve the issue, you have to use the settings provided with the software for your video card. Not the software that windows uses to adjust resolution, but the software that is specific to your Video Card, like: AMD, Nvidia, Intel... The software they provide will let you adjust the shape of your desktop to fit your display properly. It might take some doing to find the setting though.

I have problem to display the vedios please tel me the solution how to solve

You should check check the cable that goes from the monitor to the computer to see if it is properly connected ,if you still can't see anything on the screen you need to check the video card in your computer to see if it is properly fitted in the slot,if the video card is in the slot and fit in correctly then you should change the video card because its bad.

New gaming computor hooked to new lg monitor stays in power save mode cannot see anything else on screen

looks like the screen is not being activated properly by the PC... usually if a screen is not connected it will give a message stating that it is not able to detect a connection.

ok, have you used either one of these devices before? (IE do you know that either of the definately works....)

if you can.... can you fit the "old" monitor or a "spare" monitor perhaps even one belonging to a friend to the new Computer, this should verify that the PC is working....if this method works (you can see output from the computer) then the New monitor is not working properly...

if the Known working monitor fails to show computer output then there is a problem with the Computer... you should double check by testing the new screen on a known working computer to verify that the monitor is ok

if either of these are faulty, as they are "new" you should be able to get a replacement from your supplier

hope this helps

Cannot adjust that fit to the screen

Install the correct video drivers for your computer video card and also install the correct monitor driver if available. You can usually find these at your computer manufacturers support web page. Once installed you should be able to adjust the video resolution to fit the entire screen.

Good luck

My screen is x X y inches. The windows page doesnt fit into it. There is one inch of black space on the monitor on the left and one inch of my windows screen is lost on the right!!!!!!!

With the on-screen controls, select Auto-Adjust. This should set suitable defaults based on the incoming signal. If you are using the VGA connector and the position still needs to be adjusted, use the on-screen controls to shift the displayed image to the proper location (under Display Settings -> Horizontal Position).

Screen is size is to large can't find minimize box

Not enough information. What window are you talking about? Press the "windows" button and the "M" key to minimize everything. Right mouse click on the center of the screen and select "properties". You can then change your resolution so that things fit properly.

Dell172fpb 17" monitor

Self-Test Feature Check (STFC) Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps:
  1. Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
  2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove Analog (blue connector) cables from the back of computer.
  3. Turn on the monitor. The floating 'Dell - self-test Feature Check' dialog box should appear on-screen (against a black background) if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains green and the self-test pattern will scroll through the screen continually.
  4. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly.

Thanks
