Question about Minka F603-WH Ceiling Fan
I have a Minka Aire Como F603 ceiling fan with a burned out light bulb. In my attempt to replace the bulbs (turning the glass counter clockwise), I brought down the guts of the fan and it was hanging by the wires.
I got the fan back up with help, but still have burned out light bulbs. Does anyone know how to take off the glass assembly without taking down the fan.
I found the Manual to the F603 in pdf format at: http://minkagroup.net/Admin/UploadFiles/F603-English.pdf It describes how to put bulbs in so it was simply a matter of reversing the instructions to get the old ones out. However, it is not that easy to get the bottom section off so one has to be careful or you will twist the whole unit instead of just the bottom part..... I think what you did was push up too hard and then turn the whole unit. Try pushing up firmly but at the same time hold some fingers (or have someone help in this) on top of the bowl above the fan blades and then twist counterclockwise an inch or two and the bottom part will release (don't let it fall). Then you have easy access to the bulbs. Good luck.
