Question about Zanussi F1245W Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Zanussi FX1465W I am trying to get to the bearings. The problem I have at the moment is that I cannot remove the pulley wheel. There is what looks like a bolt in the centre with a hex key hole. But it just will not shift. Should I be knocking the pulley wheel to loosen or the centre bolt. Neither will shift. HELP!!

I know the bolt you mean and i find it is impossible to shift
zanussi issued a bulletin saying to give it a good blow with a hammer to break the loctite that is used. i never found this works. the only way i found of doing it was to heat with a needle flame from the oxy/butane burner i kept for fridge work

Why is the drum on my machine isn't moving?

check ur drum belt or the wheel pulleys and in some cases the center bearing and shaft? my suspicions lie with the pulleys fairly inexpensive and not to hard to replace

Need to fit a new belt, what is the best and simplest method?

Usually there is a back panel that can be removed to give access to the motor and pulley wheel for the drum. If not then remove the top panel and look down the back and you will see the big drum wheel. you will also be able to see the spindle for the motor at the bottom. Reach down to the motor and hook the belt around the spindle and place as much of it as possible on the pulley then turn the wheel to pull the rest of the belt on. It can be a little tricky but the only other way is to completely remove the back half of the machine. If you get stuck try www.espares.co.uk and check the advice centre, it gives a video on how to change a belt, most machines are similar. Hope this helps.

The drum of my Zanussi TC7103 was making a knocking noise and has now also stopped spinning i have removed the side and the drive belt is fine. The belt loops the drum and then goes round a black plastic...

yes you can replace the belt tentioner . disconnect capacitor wires remove the spring off the motor slip the belt behind the pulley so the motor can move round. remove the rear fan cover ( screw and retaining clips) this to allow pulley to be slid off. fit new tentioner pulley and pull belt in front of pulley refit spring to motor down to cabinet.reconnect capacitor. refit fan cover.125 01 25-20/8 is part no for one of 12 variations of this model use the product no to get the right part 916xxxxxx

Hi i have a zanussi fx1465w presently giving 5 bleeps &flashes of the indicator light any idear what this cauld be as the washer is not functioning after filling

5 flashes is motor down to earth usually resulting in replacing the motor. Sometimes the motor may have got damp you can try to dry it out if it looks damp this may work but its usually the motor itself.

Zanussi TC7114W condenser Drier

belts do not figure 8
they look something like this
f6516ed.jpg the front panel comes off, to access the drum without removing bearings etc, and the belt can be placed easily, around the drum and motor pulley.
then pull the tensioner hard against its spring, loop the belt around the tensioner and allow the spring to tension the belt.

when you say "only one pulley...", are you counting the motor as one? there should also be a tensioner pulley...look for it somewhere near the motor.
