Yeah it does power up, but that doesn't mean it is booting. Remove your ram, the processor but leave the cpu fcan connected, then power the board for about a minute.then put them back. if it does not boot up change the ram and it this did not work change the processor. i just gave you a free diagnostic of a working board, good luck

Problems can be more than we almost can list here.
Check the cpu that it will work in another board.
Check the ram modules that they will work in another board.
When checking the board, remove all cards and try with the cpu and ram installed. Make sure you have the right ram in the right slots. This can make a diff. in some boards.
If your processor and ram are okay, then a problem is existing with the board.

After pressing POWER button i get 2 long beeps -- thats all -- nothing on the monitor -- nothing at all ... :( ??

Two beeps means that you need to check your RAM. Try changing the RAM module and see if it working? If you have any display card (AGP/VGA/PCI or PCI express) installed then you need to check that it is properly inserted in the slot in the motherboard. Also check for any loose connections in display card.

My son has my old computer and it needs a video card

Your information is slightly conflicting. Pentium is a type of processor, and AMD is another brand, your computer can't contain both types of processor. Your video card will either be AGP or PCI-e, depending on the model of the computer. If you'd like to leave me the model of the PC, I'll look it up for you.

L7vmm mb. display went out. Monitor works on

Dear User. to plug in the AGP card you dont need to check or see the CMOS. if u have pluged an AGP card and problem still persist then the problem is at *********** side or in RAM. just plug out RAM and other hardware except Processor and cables of switches. the switch on it and if it gives beep then your motherboard and processor is OK. there would be problem in your RAM so change RAM. and if it dont give the beep at startup then the problem is in your motherboard or power supply.

One long beep tow short beep

One long beep and two short beeps mean faulty video adapter.

If you are using a card, like a PCI or AGP video adapter then remove and put back the card in slot.

If you have a motherboard, then the video chipset on motherboard had gone, buy an agp video adapter and insert it in the slot inside your computer to fix the problem.

below an example of PCI and AGP video card:

MSI G4MX4000-T64 64 MB Graphics Card

HP Intel DVI AGP digital display card

ATI Rage 128 Pro 32 MB PCI Graphics Card
