You need to update the firmware of your mp3 player, try to look for firmware upgrades for your specific brand or model...

1. install the driver for win98 (it doesn't matter what you have)2. drag it all out to your desktop.3. open the program with the rocket ship icon. 4. plug your mp3 player in, and select firmware upgrade on the computer.5. select the newest upgrade, and open it. 6. select start upgrade or begin upgrade and it will reformat. 7. it should be fixed now.
