If your defrost heaters wait about coming on, I would normally say you might need a defrost timer. Although I have never ran into this problem. They either come on, or not. But after reviewing the breakdown of your model unit, I can't say that with any certainty. I have been in this business for over 20 years and attended many schools during all this time on what I thought was every unit made until today. I am even a factory repair company for GE. They have not sent any information to me informing me of this unit. By doing their factory warranty work, they are to keep companies like my own, informed about all new units they put on the market but I have never seen a refrigerator configured like yours. I am now going to contact GE to get the schedule of class on this configuration unit. This is something I have never had to say in all these years but here it is. "I'm sorry, but I can't help you at this time. If I were to try and give you any advice or solution, It would'nt even be a good guess at this point". I can't believe all the sensors that are in this unit. I'm so glad you posted this because I would have hated to have ran into one of these at a customers home. Again, I'm apologize for not having any answer for you. Good luck.

How to check everything
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control. Since your heater does come on but not when it needs to I suspect the electronic control.

Freezing up in duct system frig part

Have you checked the heater/defroster element within the freezer? It may be related. When mine failed I was doing the defrosting with a hair blower. Over time (several days) the frost would build up on the freezer coils and the air couldn't flow as it the thermostat wasn't getting cooled enough and it relayed the information to the cooling system, causing the frige to run all the time. Since it was clogged with frost, the frige was constantly trying to cool itself and the frost problem would get so bad that things in the freezer began to melt due to a lack of cold air circulation. After the heater/defroster element was replaced, frost would melt during the defrost cycle (as it should) and airflow/circulation was restored, allowing the thermostat to be cooled properly. Then the freezer coil was able to 'rest' when it should instead of constantly freezing to meet the demand for cold air in the frige. Hope this makes sense...and helps solve your issue.

Subz 550 drain tube keeps freezing up, causing water to spill onto base of fridge and freezing

i know this is late but there's a heater kit made for this 4202160 is part number, you remove the shelves, you can put a mark under the shelf arm on the far outside where the shelves hook on so you can put them back in the same spot, then remove the light cover, the two screws and metal cover and then pull the wall off and set it to the side ,the drain heater kit plugs into the wire harness, the heater will heat up and keep drain from freezing, you can slide the tube off, stick a screw driver in to hold it down to the floor so you don't burn your hand and blow hot air into it with hair dryer to melt out ice, keep heat on for like 20 to 30 seconds then cold air or remove heat you don't want to mess the hose up from overheating wait a bit and hit it again until you melt out the ice, then i use a long plastic wire tie to stick into drain hose to clean it out, some nasty stuff in there,i use a steamer to clean the line out and then i have a piece of 1/4 inch plastic water line to snake into the drain,if this is the first time this has happened you don't need the heater kit, just clean out the tube and metal drain trough, also clean the back of the top crisper drawer shelf, crumbs and stuff can get in between the back wall and the top shelf and then will fall into the drain,if you keep that area clean you won't have to many issues and keep the fridge a little warmer so it doesn't freeze up the water in the drain tube, put the drain tube back onto the trough and pour hot water into it,if it drains down you're done if it's still blocked get a turkey baster and push hot water down into the drain tube to clear it,if it still doesn't clear remove the bottom kick panel, you'll see the drain pan and look at it because you have to get it back the same way in the clips then you can see the drain tube, stick a plastic tie up in there to clean it,sometimes there could be dust or something in the drain pan, when the water hits it it can get into the bottom of tube and block it but i've only had to do that once, hope this helps you out.

Freezer fan freezes up and i have to melt the ice with hair dryer; happening more often lately please help !! thanks

either the defrost thermostat on top of the evaporator coil is bad or the defrost heater is open and cannot heat the coils to defrost them check both with an ohmmeter heater will show 12 ohms, the thermostat will show 0 ohms if good, but it has to be checked when its under 32 degrees or will test open due to being a bi-metallic strip switch,if these both test good, then it can be the defrost timer under the front toe kick panel near the floor or inside the refrige in the temp control section

The freezer fills with water and overflows about once a week. The food is partially frozen and the ice is clear and wet. The fridge is cold and no problems but the freezer doesn't fully freeze and water...

your evaporator coil in the rear area behind the freezer back panel is frozen over with ice and the coil can no longer deliver cold air due to ice blocking the air flow from the evaporator fan, remove this rear panel, defrost it with a hair dryer, check the defrost heating coil for continuity, they go bad regularly,if not the heater coil under the evaporator coil,it may be the defrost timer in the refrigerator section of the unit that powers the defrost coil that needs replacement

The self defrosing fridge freezer is freezing and leaking inside of fridge, 3 weeks ago I melted ice in freezer and drain with hair dryer, worked for 3 weeks, now freezes agin?

You have a problem with the defrost system. There 3 components... heater, thermostat, and timer or adaptive defrost control depending how old your refrig is. Check heater and thermostat( located on the evapotator coils) with an ohm meter. The heater will have some resistance and the thermostat will be closed(must be cold). If these check good replace timer or adaptive control.

Maytag MSD2356AEW refrigerator freezing up

You did not clarify , if the board was changed or not . You only have 2 parts to the defrost system , as the defrost heater AND bimetal , come togather . I would start with the heater/bimetal part first .
Pt number 61006198 Heater and bimetal
Pt number 61005988 Adaptive defrost board

The bimetal , is the 1" cylinder , clipped to the top of the coils , and heater , at the bottom of the coils .

My Kenmore dishwasher starts to fill and then stops

I've got the same dishwasher....mine is 2 years old and used only 3 times a week and now the motor is burnt out. I understand that this unit is a Frigidaire and is one of the worst ..quality speaking. I guess that why they only provide an one year warranty. Unfortunately, we got a LEMON

Sounds like your auto defrost is not running long enough to melt the ice that develops on the coils. You can easily fix this problem by using a hair dryer and removing the back panel in the freezing unit to reveal the coils. Once this panel is out use the hair dryer to melt the ice. Once the ice is cleared this should restore air flow across the coils. Hope this helps. Good luck.
