how old is it? has it been knocked over , or dropped? do you keep your game disks clean? you could have a misaligned laser read head or a dirty one. you can probably get a head cleaning kit from a dealer. check the nintendo website.nintendousa.com, i think. good luck!

The Wii will not read my disc

Situation:

The Wii console will not accept game discs or the discs are ejecting immediately

What To Do:

Press the eject button on the front of the console. The console will not accept any discs if there is already a disc inserted, and it is common to forget that a disc was already inserted.
If the system still won't accept discs, or if the discs are immediately ejected, this indicates a problem with the mechanism that pulls the discs into the system and the Wii will need to be repaired. To begin the repair process, click here.

My daughter crammed several discs in the wii at once. My wife removed 3 stacked out of it. Now it won't accept a disc past about 1/3 of the way in. Makes the sound like ejecting, but no others will come...

The loading/ejecting mechanism needs to be reset. It involves opening the Wii, and turning the gears on the side of the optical drive until the they are in the "Unloaded position". Turn the larger gear with the "belt" on it counter-clockwise until the plastic guide on the side is fully seated in the lower position. This should allow the Wii to take in a disc. If you don't have the know how to open and service your wii, post the problem on craigslist, and you should find someone willing to help you with your issue! Hope this helps!

Wii won't accept disc. console spits disc out

Try cleaning the disk and make sure your disk drive dosn't have any gunk in it then if that dosn't work try putting the disk in the other way.

Wii unable to accept/eject disc making buzzing sound

  • When the disks were put in/taken out the little plastic clips in side the wii may have broken off. Might be stuck near the motor. Gently shake while rotating the the wii with all the cords off with no game inside. listen for anything loose. If your lucky the piece will go to another part of the wii. Best thing is to find someone to take it apart to check.

My disc for Wii Fit will not load

If it is only your Wii Fit disc then you have a problem with your disc.
If your Wii won't accept any discs then you have an issue with your Wii DVD Drive.
You may have something jammed in there in which case you either need to send it to Nintendo for Warranty repair if you are still covered, or you would need to follow this disassembly guide: http://www.gaminggenerations.com/tutorials/wii/1-t870/

Hope this helps!

Wii console won't accept a disk in. It sucks it

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide
