I have a DC200 dash cam but cannot delete footage when memory card is full

take the mem card out of the discovery Adventure DC 200, ensure the write protection chip on the side is slid up...this unlocks the mem card, put it in computer....go to my computer, you should see the mem card..right click it...select format NTFS and ok sometimes format and delete won't function if trying to do from the dash cam on some mem cards is all. you can also go into the mem card from your computer, and go into the folder called "NORMAL" and in it you will see the footage files, you can copy them out onto your computer if you wish to keep the footage or simply delete them from there also. cheers.

I have taken some pictures without a mem card and cannot upload them to my computer..I have purchased a mem card now to see if i can put the pics on mem card but cannot figure out how and why this is...

Go into the menu and find "copy" for the option to copy the internal memory to a memory card. After you do that and the pics are safely on your computer, do this....with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory.

I am taking pic with my samsung s8000 and it says that I need to delete files but the microsd is empty.

Hi it saying this as its not storing the photos on the mem card but its storing them on the phones own mem, try deleting some ringtones that you dont use such as the ones that came for free, also delete and messages inbox/outbox/sent etc.

or connect it to your computer and transfer the ringtones onto the sd card and this will free up some mem for pictures

have you tried looking at the settings when your in camera mode, choose camera then settings and see if it lets you change the storage option you may need to cycle through the camera settings.

open the camera up as if your using it then its one of the buttons that take you to the settings whilst your using the camera

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Kodak easy share wont delete or scan to the left to view pics

In order to solve the problem you need to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the SD card and thereafter you will be able to delete the pics in the internal memory.
How do I transfer pictures from the internal memory of my KODAK Digital Camera to a memory card? Answer :
Follow these steps:
  1. On the camera, press Review and then Menu.

  3. Change to Internal Memory.
  4. In the menu listing, scroll down to Copy, and select OK.
  5. Select a single picture, or select All.
  6. When you have finished copying pictures, reset the Image Storage location to your original setting.

Camera will not hold new pics. Even when internal

Could be the memory chip isn't working right. They are very sensitive to improper handling. I prefer to use the usb download cable rather than removing the card and inserting it into the computer. If you touch the gold contact fingers on the card, static electricity can damage it, personal experience. Some replacement chips have a lifetime guarantee, which I have used.
Try a new mem card, they are sort of cheap.
Also if you use the program that came with the camera, it might reset the functions on the chip.
Hope this helps.

Not able to 'delete' a picture from my Lumix TZ3

Sounds like a MobileMate quirk Tanya. Use your USB cable connection to your PC/Camera interface and delete pics that way too see if this funny goes away.

If it does, and I believe it will, then it is a SanDisk issue not revising the File Allocation Table(FAT) after deleting the Pic File on the mem card.

You could also find out if this is just an SDHC SD card reader issue by using an older less dense standard 1 or 2Meg non-SDHC mem card in the reader and see if issue goes away.

The fallback of course to view and delete the pics on the camera before download, or download pics then note which pic file numbers you want deleted after viewing on PC, then put SD card back in camera and delete them there.

Another option for trial, is to cut and paste the whole DCIM folder, or sub pic folder to your PC from off the SD card using the card reader. The camera automatically generates subfolders under the DCIM folder if you completely remove(deleting by a cut or move), when you take your first picture on a camera with a DCIM but not sub pic folder. Try this first and I think you will find all pics will be deleted from camera that are in a subfolder under DCIM. If not, then cut or move the whole DCIM folder and create a new DCIM(empty) folder on the SD card using the PC and card reader. Of course using this method you cannot selective delete individual pics from the mem card. You would be deleting them all after the Folder cut or move from the SD card.

My memory card says that it needs to be formatted

If you have a memory card reader built into the computer, printer or by itself insert the memory card and see if the pics come up to transfer over. Lots of stores like Walgreens/Rite Aid/Savon have print machines you can stick the mem card in to print pics and backup to CD/DVD for a few dollars.

i don't think you can transfer photos from mem stick to internal mem, but may i suggest purchasing a multi port card reader? it is a small device, compatible with most all mem cards- deff for Sony Cyber-shot- you simply insert your mem stick and plug into the USB port on your computer, this will also save unnecessary wear on your camera, They are fairly cheap, at around $15, no software is needed, your computer will recognize it as a mem stick, just as it does the camera

Low Memory for N72

hi, do you have an extra mem card in the phone if you have then move some data to this as the phone dont use the memory on card unless you put stuff their yourself, so the phone will say mem full even if memory card is empty so try this first.
1. delete any messages in inbox/outbox/sent messages as these will take up mem
2. delete any old phone numbers/pictures/screen savers that you dont use.
3. the best way to free up loads of memory is by deleting all of the free ringtones you got with the phone most of the free ones you will never use so i deleted all of these and just kept the ringtones i used most people never use the free ones you get when buying the phone so doing this will free up loads of room. Also delete any ringtones you have put on their that you never use as the music ringtones can use loads of mem alot more than the standard tones.
4. every time you send a message your phone stores them in sent messages so delete all of these.
Once you have done all of this you will find you have loads of free memory.
The best thing to do if you have a memory card in your phone is move all the music/music ringtones that you want to keep onto the card doing this means you can still use the ringtones and free up loads of the phones memory.
The phone dont take the mem card into acount when its telling you mem full ok so put as much on mem card as you can ok.
Let me know how you get on and also if you need further assistance ok

Retrieving file

There are companies that claim to be able to retrieve deleted files on mem cards, if their space has not been written over by other pics taken sense, or a mem card FORMAT. Google it.

Your better approach may be to try to recover the files showing 3Meg size on your computer download. Sounds like mem card quit working correctly after first 100 photoes. Was this a name brand SD card like San Disk or Panasonic? Beware of off brand junk sold on ebay or other sites CHEAP. They are designed to report back the size they claim to be, but are 1/2 size capacity or less in reality. You never know until you need your photos. The other thing is SD cards fail and are never a good as a BackUp source for files. For file xfers only in general.

Good lesson for all is to be sure all your pics show up on your computer before deleting on camera.
