Hi my name is Eric,
I hope I can help you with your issue ,
The TV not starting properly you should hear the tone noise (bleep bleep) not a ticking noise or no sound .
These Samsung LCDs have problems with the power supply capacitors going bad, a servicer will charge between $200 and $450 to repair it replacing either the capacitors or the whole board.
here is a DIY (do it yourself) solution:
It could be just a few bad capacitors on the power supply, if you want to attempt the repair yourself you can do a visual of the power board caps will appear swollen on to.
We do not recommend do it yourself, but depending on your knowledge and technical ability you may be able to.
with the back removed you will usually see two circuit boards the upper one is the power supply, it has a few capacitors on it (cylindrical standing straight up soldered in mark on the sides with the positive/negative sides and MF and Volts values)
Samsung uses mostly 1000Mfd at 16Volts rating capacitors, they cost about $1 each (680mfd will also work fine)
usually I replace about four of them (or all the bulged on top ones) .
The power board and back unscrew with a medium philips screwdriver, if you do not know how to desolder and resolder then do not attempt this as you may damage the TV more than fix it.

best of luck to you
Hope this helps, if it has solved your issue please click accept
But if you have more questions please respond and I will reply asap
Thanks
Eric

Question for the guru. I went and got the caps and installed them. When I got done, I noticed the old caps were 10v. I used 16v like you said. The TV works, but I wonder if I will run into problems down the road.

Hi
I got my samsung TV fixed. First problem was that after 2 years the digi box broke down... ok I used external digibox. Then TV didnt want to start... it started after shutting and powering about 4 times after that it worked fine for 6 months. Then TV shut down permanently and it didnt start at all. I took the motherboard to a guy who changed 4-5 capasitors... they were broken. I went home and it still shut down automatically after a minute. I pressed exit from the remote control about 10 seconds and service menu opened. Then I chose "reset" I think it was option 12 from the list. You go down with the arrows and when your on the right place press right side from the arrows. Then TV shut down... when I restarted the TV it was fine. Hope this helps somebody but the technician said that this is a common problem in samsung.

I have a Samsung LNT 4069 40 inch TV. I have had it for about two years but lately when we turn it on it does not come on as usual but goes through several clicking cycles and sometimes takes up to 2...

Yes,
This is a problem with some capacitors on the power supply board, they have defective formula. The ESR levels are high and they can't hold their operating voltage. If you have an extended warranty by all means take it back exchange it for a new TV.

Change Cartridge Invalid Cartridge

First, Lexmark does not now or ever support the use of a third party cartridge or a refilled cartridge ink cartridge even if it is a Lexmark cartridge. Lexmark considers this to product tampering.

That said, please get a new Lexmark cartridge that is designed for your model of printer and see if it works. If you still get the failure, use a lint free slightly dampend cloth to wipe the contacts where the new cartridge goes. If that does not work, call Lexmark Technical support and see if there is still any warranty left on the printer.

Worst comes to worst, you can just replace the printer given the cost of ink jet printers nowadays.

What can I buy / replace to fix my tv? I have a 4 year old Samsung LCD (LNT4069FX/XAA.) A few months ago the image started ghosting, or flickering and repeating itself multiple times down the screen, accompanied by a slight discoloration and / or darkening. At first I could "fix" the problem by gently applying pressure around the frame, or by swiveling the TV on it's stand back and forth. Once the problem was "fixed" the picture was perfect, and would remain that way until the TV was turned off, where I would have to start all over again the next time it was turned on (usually at least a few hours if not over night in between.) Eventually the turning / applying pressure did nothing. The TV would however "fix" itself after approximately 10 minutes. Again, resulting in a perfect picture and lasting until the TV was turned off. Over the course of 2 or 3 weeks, it would take more time upon start up for the problem to fix itself, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, until eventually no amount of time would solve the problem. It is worth mentioning that this occurs on any inputs, and even with no inputs - it is definitely the TV, not a cable or a source problem. I happened upon a similar complaint on your site, where the advice given was to replace the LCD converter, which I did, and the problem is still apparent. Do you have any other solutions that I may try? I would much rather fix this TV instead of buying a new one. Thank you for your time! - Jim D (the article I mentioned is here...) http://www.fixya.com/support/t8380218-samsung_hdtv_ln_t5271f_approx_4_yrs
