Unable to get Braemar Spectrolink thermostate to switch to auto

Have just had the thermostat installed for our new ducted gas heater model TH320NG, have set time and date etc but cannot get the unit to switch from manual to auto. When pressing the appropriate button (unit door open) it just switches between Home and Away

I just found the solution here: from Alan111S Forum Regular http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1... We moved into our house and I couldn't get our Spectrolink controller to switch to Auto. Mine has the little peg on the door broken off. This means the Home / Away button does not function for Man /Auto with the door open. A Braemar Technician told me that one can press and hold the Set button then quickly press Home / Away and the system should switch from Manual to Auto. This didn't work for me initially but after following the procedure above to restart the controller, I was able to get the Man /Auto switch working. It saved me $200, because I would have had to replace it otherwise.

Braemar spectrolink reset error 05

I had the fault code 05 (spectrolink controller) recently on a Braemer TG420 ducted heater. The heater would start and cut out on high temp as the room fan was not starting. I checked under the house and found the cable fitted to the return air thermistor had been chewed. I repaired the section of cabling and restarted the unit and it worked fine. Fault Code 05 is to do with the Thermistor in the return air duct.

it gets its power from the unit via the data cable. go on the seely international website or the braemar website and they can put you in contact with another dealer in your area. get it fixed while still in warrenty.
