Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
Using brand new Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. Will connect to network and ethernet through ethernet cable but will not connect through Wireless despite the wireless signal being "excellent".
Have tried resetting router, downloading latest Dell wireless drivers but with no joy.
Using Vista Home Premium.
My PC that is 7 years old and runs XP connects fine through Wireless.
If your wireless router is configured with SSID, encryption, MAC address filtering (if enabled) etc. then the Dell wireless card needs to be configured with these settings to allow it to communicate with the wireless router.
Check the settings on your PC's wireless settings, and configure the Dell the same way.
