Question about Video Cameras

Open Question

I have an EverFocus EX200/NN security camera that was dropped and the lens was disconnected from the body. Can this been repaired or need to be replaced? I am also having a hard time locating the camera online. Has it been discontinued? If so which model is compatable.

SOURCE: Camera was dropped-- "Lens error-restart camera" message

If it is still under warranty , please repair it.
If it is out of warranty. Try to get a quote, it the quote is more than 50% of original value , forget it.
For digital camera's they die like flies. New ones are better and cheaper anyway.

SOURCE: Lens will not retract

As bad as I hated to, I purchased a new camera for $109.00 vs. $90.00 for the repair. I still intend to look around for a similar camera, maybe on eBay or at a yard sale for parts. I think that I would like to give the repair a whorl. I can't tear it up any worse ... it does not work now!

Thank you for allowing me to post ...

SOURCE: My camera lens will not go back into the body of

Since the camera actually dropped, Chances are that this caused the damage. You need to take it for repairs. Then you find out that other parts may be broken as well.

Dropped my canon eos350d with 18-55m lens. where the lens attaches to the camera is broken ie the casing along the edge that connects to the camera, hence light is getting in and camera is not functioning...

I'm trying to read this correctly, is it the lens that is cracked or the camera/camera body mount?
If it is just the lens you may find it less expensive to purchase a new lens the 18-55mm is a kit lens and fairly inexpensive to purchase over repairing one. If it is the camera I'm not sure what to suggest and the repair would be very expensive to replace the chassis outer body.

I dropped my Nikon d50 and now when I turn it on it flashes fEE. Whats wrong?

The lens is not making proper contact with the camera. Try removing the lens, cleaning the contacts on both the back of the lens and in the lens mount on the body, then reattaching the lens. If that doesn't do it, try jiggling the lens gently. If that doesn't do it, try attaching a different lens if you have one available, or attaching the lens to a different body if that is possible. If nothing works then it could be that the lens and/or camera needs servicing after the drop.

Camera was dropped & the zoom lens will not retract into the body of the powershot A2000 IS

Unfortunately this needs to be returned to your dealer to be repaired properly

Pushing or pulling the lens is futile.. unless you are extremely lucky

This usually signifies the end of the the cameras life as you can buy a new camera for the cost of the repair!

Nikon AF 35-135 lens

Did the only the lens drop or was the lens attached to the camera body? If the lens was attached to the camera, you need to verify that the problem is in fact the lens and not the camera body. The easiest way to do that is to try a different lens on your camera body or your lens on a different body. If you do not have access to either, I would find a local camera store that sells Nikon equipment. I am sure they will let you put your lens on one of there bodies. In any case, ff the damage is as extensive as it sounds from your brief description, you need to take it to a camera repair man. This is not a do-it-yourself job.

Got dropped and the lens come out

If you dropped it while 'alive' a piece holding the lens might have been broken. If you dropped it in a dormant state then it could be worse - when at rest the lens is secured fairly inside the body of the camera. Have it checked, I suggest.
