Nc6000 multibay battery does not recharge

Perhaps remove the multi-bay battery, and let main battery charge all the way. Then reattach multi-bay battery, and see if it's recognized.
(Will charge)

That is AC adapter (Charger) removed, then remove multi-bay battery.
Plug AC adapter back into laptop, THEN plug AC adapter into power.

[You do Not want to unplug an AC adapter from a laptop, with the AC adapter plugged into power. Could be a power surge/voltage spike. Unplug AC adapter from power, when plugging into laptop, or unplugging from laptop ]

Main battery charged, unplug power to AC adapter, unplug AC adapter from laptop. Plug multi-bay battery in, then AC adapter.
(Then plug AC adapter into power)

My advent battery would not charge so i bought a new one and it still wont charge having to run my laptop from the mains

You may have a DC connector problem:

Symptoms of a broken power jack
1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead.
No power LED or battery charge LED activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.

If your laptop is out of warranty, then you can fix the problem by re-soldering DC-IN jack on the system board. If it

I have hp pavilion dv6000 laptop, problem is that only 10 minutes is working batary after that again i have to connect power

Hi, It sounds like the battery has come to the end of its life and you will need to replace it.

Most laptop batteries in my opinion only last 18months to 2 years before they need replacement, this is common to most all laptops.

hope this helps.

Hdd light blinks red and won't start.when ac adapter is plugged in the screen is blank when on battery starts working for a couple of seconds and then is dead again. when i leave the battery to charge...

i rand spell check on you. fixed,
ok its a laptop/notebook.
nice full model number , rare here and bravo that.
we have like 10,000 posts here with Laptop dead.
endless , to the extreme, and did you take that bad large battery out first and leave it out and run on AC power only ? yes/no.
we ask that every time, 10,000 times, did you?
did you get text that way on the screen.??????
my wild guess is it runs ON AC battery out, but failed to say that.
so the big battery is bad, like all are now.
this old, batteries, are weak technology, they fail soon and hard.
just like cars, and your flashlight.
for 100 years now,+ never trust any battery and WIN ! (rule of life)

  • so does it turn on /w big battery out , ac pack connected and with AC power, yes /no.?
  • if yes do you get text ever.? on the screen?
  • do you get windows ,(is this vista>? login? or win7?)
  • do you attain the windows desktop? ever?
BEST I CAN TELL THIS PC IS 10 YEARS OLD (as old as)
it will need a new main battery and a new coin cell RTC.
all do that old, non serviced. for 10 long years.
batteries dont last , like electronics do.. not even close.
sorry, but that is battery makers weakness not HP or MS or anyone elses//

one more dead battery, post #10,000

this answer is only partial, after all , your inputs failed to tell how the pc ran with not main battery.
if we started there, the path to a cure would be different.
if answer was NO.
testing is a serial process and in correct order
that is why no simple guessing works. see?

At times my HP 520 laptop battery does not charge...and i fail to understand that what is the problem.... and surprisingly its battery starts to charge.

Try your laptop with a good previously checked AC adapter (check the battery charging process). Than try your laptop with another known good battery (with the same good AC adapter). If problem is not yet identified, you should have your laptop checked by a professional : your mainboard might have a problem.

IPaq rx3115 working like PC not Pocket PC, need to plugin always

You need to purchase a new removable battery for your RX
The removable batts usually only last about a year (like cell phone batteries).
Although it is showing 100% charge, the battery is not storing enough power to run the ipaq

The rx series uses 2 batteries, one is the removable one u can see/access when u remove the back cover. The other batt is a small round batt which stores the basic info for your system (so you don't lose your data when u swap out the removable battery).

This small (backup) batt is similar to the cmos battery on a laptop or pc.
You cannot easily replace this, as the unit needs to be disassembled to access this batt.
If you are tech-y (and brave), the replacement button batteries are sold on ebay for $9-12

Normally, if your removable batt is bad, you could still use your unit plugged in, and could
remove from AC power without losing data. Not the case if your replaceable batt is exhausted.
When both batteries are bad, you lose everything when u remove unit from AC power.

My workaround without having to disassemble unit:
Purchase and fully charge new removable batt (They have huge capacity ones available for like $15 - better than the original !).
Load up all your programs & settings the way you like.
Perform full backup to SD card (& also on PC via active sync - to be safe)
Now the only time you should lose your data (like hard reset) is if you allow the battery
to completely drain, in which case you can restore your backup.
If you purchase 2 removable batts, you can easily swapout without losing data if you
use the usb charge cable & leave ipaq plugged in while you change battery

Hope this helps

HP pavillion dv1000 won't charge

Try using your laptop without the battery and just using your power supply (new universal or your old one).
If your laptop works on just mains power it means your battery is causing the problem, which is not unusual.

Compaq evo n610c battery not charging

Hello All;
I used to have these same problems. I replace my BIOS battery, which I know was dead, because all settings get reset when I unplug the power and remove main battery. You might not have to replace it if its still good. Back to the main battery problem, You have a good change of solving this by going into BIOS, and under Tools there is a Battery Calibration option. Do the calibration for the main battery and-or other optional batteries attach and it will most likely solve the problems. This calibration process will take a long time; 1-charge, 2-discharge, 3-recharge, so leave it over night or however.

There was a mention of updating BIOS. This could solve the problem too, because BIOS controls the charging unit. Also, make sure you have Compaq Power Management install on your OS, (download at hp.com).

One note: it will not charge if the battery is about 93% or higher. 93 is not exact, but close to 90%. so test by discharging to below 90% and it will start charging again.

If anyone tries this, leave a post of your success or failure.
