Check if:
your volume in the laptop is not muted.
your speakers are turned on.
your speaker, (if have an option) is not muted.
you have installed the correct audio drivers for your laptop.
check if you can hear sound on a headphone.

If you need more information on how to check the above options, do let me know.

My laptop doesn't produce any sounds not untili close it halfway if i have the screen open totally no sounds. how do i fix that??

Well, it "sounds" like your speaker wires are either crimping or loose at a connection, you will need to remove the screen assembly to inspect further. Go here! http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins700m/en/SM/sysboard.htm#wp1084976

My laptop is not switching it just lights up the battery led when i put in the adapter.and it produces some sound where you connect the adapter

Remove main battery and try again, if no! sub out the ram memory one at a time and test each, if nothing! remove the hard drive and power up, remove CD/DVD drive and finally the wireless card, if none of these work! the motherboard has major issues.

Audio output driver, it has been removed, i would like to install it now, how can i get it? thanks and best regards Nesar Uddin

Hi you may want to download audio drivers from producers website.
If you have a laptop you can download from laptop producers site otherwise you have to find out who is the producer of your motherboard (if the audio is integrated) or who is the producer of your sound card.

The external display stays muted and plays no sound but when I use the headphone port the sounds work. I cant get the laptop speakers to produce any sound though.

Go to control panel and go to sound and hardware (Just go to anything that says sound)!

Then go to sound and audio devices!

Go to Audio and change the default until sound comes out of tv!

Not enough jack

You need to buy an external sound card, without which you will not be able to get much from your speakers. It will not produce surround sound.

The sound card will give you required jacks and will produce real good sound. You may try audigy cards from creative.

No sound devices

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model laptop are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the driver for your Windows operating system.
