One major suggestion i will make it do not let it fall over or even tip to the side. With most projection tvs any damage to alignment or anything like that can be undone with a correction to the bulb alignment. Any tv repair place should be able to walk you through this or do it for you for a relatively reasonable fee.

Philips Rear projectoion tv picture not clear

no its not true, you can lay them flat to move, it sounds like the convergence is out of whack, download the owners manual and redo the convergence manually for the red and blue, then go back and do the same for the multi point convergence for the red and blue, also if the color looks muted or flat, the projector lenses might need to be cleaned as well as the mirror in side of the unit.... very easy to do, just use caution and DO NOT SPRAY ANY LIQUIDS INSIDE THE UNIT.... spray the cleaning rag outside the unit the wipe off the mirror and lenses....i got this same TV free from craigs list here in pa, put a new mirror in because the original was shattered and re did the convergence and this TV pic is AWSOME.... very crisp and clear...hope this helps you

Panasonic PT-51G44 51 transporting?

No you should only transport it standing up to ensure the optics do not get messed up. I have seen peeps do this and nothing happens. I have also seen pros do the move on the back or the sides and it tears up the TV set. Good Luck

I need to replace the mirror, it broke during transport

Take the back bezel off. It should have many screws around it. then once open you should see the back of the mirror. Carefully take the screws out of the mirror, you may have to do some modifing with the new mirror if it does not come prefabed.
