Question about LG KU990 Viewty
Okay so I just got this phoen and didn't realize this problem for a day or so, then I go to my inbox, where it says I have (7) unread texts, I go through all of my texts, the number doesn't go down. I clear my inbox, it goes away. Then the next day the unread text number goes up to 8, and I've cleared my inbox, and it's still there! It's frustrating. I tried powercycling, popping out the battery for a minute or two, and I can't get the number to reset. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. How do I fix it?
Menu | settings | more | security | now you have to enter a code it is usually the last 4 digits of the phone number unless you changed it | delete/reset | delete messages

It could be possible that you had used your sim card in a phone where the messages are stored in the sim card itself.
Msgs can be stored in:
External Memory card.
Make sure you do not have any msgs stored away in either of those.
Making a back up of your memory card contents then formatting it would let you know if it was your memory card.
Backing up your phone with a PC suite, (choose everything except the msgs to back up) and then resetting your phone to factory settings would check if it had been in your phone.
You can download the free version of this software to check if you have any sms stored in your simcard:
Hope this helps.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
