    Hi

I have the exact same problem. It just will not recognise any cards that I put in. I have even tried a 1meg good quality card that I know is not in the locked position.

Any ideas or do I have to send it back.

I am usng a 1 GB card from my verizon phone with the SD adapter and it is working for me. So it might be your card.

I can think of a few things that might be wrong:

- Is the card write protected? Some SD cards have a small white tab that you can move to one of two locations. This allows you to make the card write protected.

- Has the card been formated in the camera? I could not locate a manual for this camera, but most cameras have the ability to format the memory card.

Lastly, I don't think you'll be able to record video to the card. Most of these camcorders have an SD card only for still images.

Good luck.

Won't take/record photos!

Are you sure it is set to save images to the card and not the camera's internal memory ?

When trying to take a picture or record a movie, the screen is a solid light pink.

try an sd card from another source. the format function of the camera should be used to prepare the sd card for the camera before you take pics with it. this may be a format issue with nintendo. format will erase all images on card, so save them first somewhere else.

My hitachi dvd/cam model bx35a i have brought three different sd cards i can record but i can not take a photo keeps saying card error

Check the manual, I think you have to format the card for the Hitachi camera. You only have to do this once with each card you use.

When you format the card, it makes a new folder (directory) for that specific device. i think there is a setup / format SD card command. Make sure you empty the movie that you have on the card before you format.

"please insert memory card in GZ-MG130U CAMACORDER

Hi there.
The hard drive will be full so you will need to transfer all your videos to your PC then format the hard drive in the camera's menu, make sure the SD card is removed before you format it.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Can't take photos

Using a USB SD card-reader, copy all the photos from your camera SD-card to your PC, then try format option in your camera, this way the photos in your SD card are safe(in the computer). OR
insert a new/empty SD card into your camera. Use the format option and start clicking photos.

512Mb SD Card is telling me it needs reformatting

I had a different camera that this happened with, luckily I didn't have alot of pictures of any importance on the card., I took the card to a photo store and they could not even tell me what was wrong with it. Maybe you could try that, just bring it to a camera store, I hope they can help you.
