    Clay,

How confident are you that this will resolve the problem? Is this down loadable or will I have to wait for the CD to arrive?

I assume that all I would have to do is put the CD into my DVD player and follow some propmts - is this correct?

    Thanks,
    Isaac

You have some pixels that are dead or stuck. If they are just stuck this may work. These are other risky pressure and tap methods that may or may not work. They can cause more damage than they fix so I will not recommend them, as you have an expensive TV rather than a cheap monitor. I will however recommend PixelProtector. It is a tool for fixing stuck pixels, removing screen burn, correctly calibrating screens for optimal performance and gaining the best possible picture. You will need a DVD player to use this tool. https://www.pixelprotector.com/index.php

You would want to get the DVD, so you would not have to take a chance of downloading and burning the DVD yourself. I do not think you can even download it in the first place. Can I guarantee this will work? No, I cannot. But I have seen it work on other TVs, and I have seen it work great on some and then again not 100% on others. It all depends on if the pixels are dead or just stuck. IMO, it is worth a try, as what other option do you have outside of a very expensive repair, if you can even find someone to repair it. But I for sure cannot guarantee it will work. Just follow the directions that comes with it. I hope it will work for you as you have a nice TV. If it works it will be a very cheap fix. But again, there is no way I can tell you 100% this will work.

Blue dots center and yellow stain right hand corner on 60'' sonytv

Yes, I do. It needs a new light engine. Very costly repair. However, Sony has extended the warranty on many of these LED projector sets. You need to call a local Sony authorized service center and see if your model is covered. Otherwise this repair could run over a thousand bucks.

Blue section (corner) and blue dots

This set has no internal manual adjustments for color. The Tracking or B&W balance is accessed via the service menu. I don't suggest you attempt to adjust without instrumentation. the trouble with your set is not an adjustment. Most likely the Optics are at fault. This model has had issues with filters in the optics being destroyed over time by the lamp. The blue haze will get worse and continue to grow over the whole picture. The only option is to remove the Optics (light engine) and sent it out to be rebuilt.
