Fuse auto shut off

Recently when I use my vacum cleaner Hoover S5620 for more than 15 mins, the machine stops. I have to reset the breaker in the electrical panel.

I have cleaned the container as well as the dust catcher via other portable vacum cleaner. But the problem is still there. Not sure why? Can you please help? Thanks

Kel

Find the current rating for the vacuum cleaner motor (on a plate somewhere on the machine). Is it somewhat less than the breaker rating in the panel? If so, then either the motor is overloading the breaker due to bad bearings or a shorted winding in the motor or the breaker is failing. Check the current draw of the running motor with a clamp-on ammeter (a friend with one or an electrician). It should be close to the rating on the plate. If in excess, then the motor needs to be repaired or replaced. The motor normally works harder when it is pulling full vacuum--it speeds up if the air flow is plugged.

Where is the fuse on my Hoover Power Pet carpet cleaner.

Depending on the model and the country, the standard fuse is in the plug or it is the breaker. They do have an internal thermal fuse to protect against severe overheating. It is not resettable.

There are many models with Power and Pet in the name.

My Kenmore Elite Upright Vacuum stopped working.

It might sound very easy , but lack of power is usually the cause of a vacuum cleaner that is not working . Check that the vacuum cleaner is plugged into a working power outlet and that fuses and breakers don't need resetting. An activated thermal cut-out due to a blockage is the next most likely cause of the problem.
Tripped Circuit Breaker/ Blown Fuse
Check service panel for tripped breakers/blown fuses. If breaker is tripped, reset it. If fuse is blown, replace it. If vacuum cleaner is plugged in, make sure that the power button is in the off position before having to reset the breaker/changing fuse.

My Hoover Upright vacuum Elite II model U4709-910 wont turn on. I put a new bag in ..is there a reset button?

I have never seen a reset button fitted to a vacuum cleaner - mostly the safety device is either a self resetting bimetal breaker or a thermal fuse.

Likely failed to start due to a coincidental failure. Sometimes dust and fibres can work their way into the bimetal breaker but mostly it is an internal break in the power cord or a faulty switch. The circuit must be checked with a trusty multimeter and that will require the appliance to be at least partially dismantled.

Shuts down after 10 min use

I would clean or replace filters on it check the hose to make sure it is not blocked . It sound like it is over heating and making the breaker kick off and after it cools down it resets this is caused by dirty filters or blocked hoses.

My hoover mach 5 stopped during use and will now not turn on

If the machine overheats, a breaker trips. Most breakers reset themselves after they cool off. You may have a manual reset button to push on your model. The machine will overheat if the bag is too full, or if the exhaust port is clogged. The reset switch is usually on the back of the motor housing, near the footswitch.
