Question about GE Refrigerators
Frost buildup continues just above the icemaker and this is has become an ongoing issue. Temperature readings are in the normal range(s). Nothing that we know of has changed on the unit (parts loose, missing etc.)
Model is: PSS25SGNA BS
Other issue: icemaker water dispenser always drops additional water after dispensing the requested amount. This is more of a cleaning nuisance but was just wondering if anyone had experienced this same issue and whether there was an easy / inexpensive solution.

Either the auto-defrost timer is not working properly or there is a lot of moisture and condensation that is building up due to humidity.

In my case, this happens when the drawer does not seal properly. If I am aware of this, I don not have the snow build up. My problem is why the drawer doesn't always close properly, and it is inconsistent. There is no adjustment. Anyway, if the drawer seal is the slightest bit open, snow-like frost will build up in freezer. Mine is a GE pds20mcrbb

Testimonial: "Very helpful description and pictures."
The water dispenser and ice maker side run separate sides of the water control valve. Fill ice maker with tap water and let it freeze. If it dumps the ice then does not refill then the water control valve is the problem. I will be back soon with a photo and some links, Thanks, Sea Breeze
