Question about Campbell Hausfeld 5 Peak / 1.7 Running HP, 17 Gallon Husky Air Compressor
I have the same problem! My 26 Gal HUSKY Vertical Compressor has a mind of it's own. It automatically shuts down just before reaching 75 PSI. I have emptied the drain and a small amount of water came out. Did that a couple more times to test it out. I still encounter the same problem. It's almost as if it is overheating or a circuit breaker is tripping within the unit itself. If anyone has resolved this, I'd really appreciate a helping hand! Thanks in advance!
Possibly the pressure switch needs to be adjusted to reach a higher pressure. Trace the power cord into a box that also is piped into the pressure line from the compressor. If the pressure works itself back down again, use thread-locker fluid on the adjustment screw to hold it's setting.
