Question about JVC KD-SH55 CD Player

I have a JVC KD SH55 and won't eject CD. Fix please. Recall?

I have a JVC KD SH55 and the front panel is supposed to rotate down to eject the CD. Instead it shows error 06. I tried resetting, but it doesn't help. This appears to be a common problem. Is there a recall on this system? Does anyone know how to fix it?

There is a ribbon wire that connects the faceplate contacts behind the faceplate that always go bad on all radios with rotating faceplates. you can probably find this part on ebay or on or by jvc.

Jvc kd-sh55 wont turn on

Check wiring if it is a new installation. If it failed, then check fuse. If fuse is good, then need service. Sometimes it could be due to the front panel. Call customer relations if it is in warranty.

good day, you may want to do a manual eject, see the small hole that only a paper clip can fit? use a paper clip and insert it to the hole and it will eject the cd. hopefully next time you eject it it goes back to normal. hope this helps

Just installed KD-SH55 JVC in Tahoe myself, no lights on but ejec

if it has a face plate and most after market radios do then it may not have a good connection check and make sure it does maybe even clean them with alcohol also make sure you got a good ground it may not have enough power to come on all the way (<-- rarely is the case) but it sounds like a bad radio

Jvc kd lx111 deck wont eject cd

I just had this problem today and when I attempted to eject the CD it would give me an error message that stated (ERR 32). Apparently this means that there is something blocking the movement of the screen, a little manipulation should help the issue. Another variable could be the Eject lock feature, essentially a "child lock" for your disc. When this lock is activated it prevents the CD in the deck to be ejected. You can change this by holding down the blue source button and the eject button simultaneously for about 2 or 3 seconds. A message should appear saying "No Eject" and one that repeatedly flashes "Eject on" These two things seemed to help me alot when I had this issue. If those things don't work I would recommend calling JVC, much to my suprise they were actually really helpful. Their number is 1-800-252-5722.

Jvc kd-sh55 head unit

Have you tried pressing the "RESET" button on the stereo? I have a JVC unit in my car and the reset button is a tiny hole behind the detachable face. Take a pencil or a pen and insert the end into the tiny hole an hold for a few seconds. This will reset the stereo and you should be able to eject the CD as you normally would. If it's a mini-disc (8mm) you probably would have to take the unit apart and manually retrieve it - big hassle. Check the owner's manual to find out where the "RESET" button is if it is not behind the face. If you don't have the owner's manual, you can download one from Hope this helps.

I have a error message in my jvc kd-sh55

Try resetting the stereo. The reset button is located on the bottom left of the face plate. It is a tiny hole and you take a pencil or a pen and insert it in the hole and hold for a few seconds. This may work... Hope this helps.
