My lg dare phone will not show the charging screen nor will the screen go black after a few minutes

take battery out power it on with charger only see if that gets the screen working if so then put the battery back in let me know.

yes you can all you have to do is buy a new LCD an replace it but if you dont know how to open it just bring your phone to LG service centers

sometimes you just need to take the battery out and put it back in. If you've already done that then you may need to take it to Verizon and get it updated.

Provider can give you the unlock code or a good telephone store can unlock it in 5 minutes for $15-25.

My recommendation is to call Verizon Wireless and have them troubleshoot. I am having the same problem, and when I called last night to see if I could get it fixed, they tried several things -- no success. However, they told me nobody else was reporting this issue!

So... REPORT IT TO VERIZON! Maybe they will investigate into it further and fix whatever the issue might be.
