Iphone SMS problems

I'm not sure about that...I know you can call the at&t store and ask for assistance

Help!

My new iPhone gets SMS messages from other AT&T users but is not getting SMS messages from non-AT&T users - anyone have this roblem? Suggestions?

SO here is the guaranted solution of SMS issue, even I faced the similar kind of issue : When u press on the Sms, it will just open and close again. So all u can do is goto Setting->General->Reset->click on Erase all content and setting.

Once u reset u can see no data in ur iphone, when u connect to ur computer that has itunes, it prompt two option:
option 1: ask for connect as new phone
option 2: or backup the previous data.
Select option 1.

Then u can find ur iphone perfectly working fine. Only thg is u tend to lose all ur previous contact, So make sure u note all ur contacts before u perform this operation.
And gr8 thg is I am using unlocked apple iphone with BSNL service provider. CHEERS..:)

even i face the same problem a month ago i formatted my cell fone and agin connected it to the PC n took the back up from itune it reconfigured it to the last settings of mine.
But one thing u have to make sure is that once u get something like that please dont attach it to your system else your backup will also get screwed.

thanx after i delete the sms.db its working soo good but what about the phone icon it has the same problem

My iphone is now at 1.1.3.  When my sms box is filled with sms. When i press the SMS to start up, phone would either just Hang or SMS will not start.  Same thing will happen when I recieve an sms.
My iphone has currently more than 2000 contacts.  The issue above only starts to kick in when all my contacts are updated into the phoen.  Previously on 1.1.1 no issue.
Any one experienced this or has a solution?  My guess is the the new SMS program was not properly written to take care of this issue.

Thanks. Extreme but it worked

with 1.1.4 fw my iphone was working fine, till recently i noticed that some of the touch points in the lower portion of the screen will NOT function when trying to sms eg the space bar or the numeric change button. Plz help

This following solution was suggested on youtube, it worked for me. There is one negative point about it: ALL YOUR OLD MESSAGES WILL BE DELETED
If you delete your sms.db file (located in: var\mobile\library\sms) it fixes it, you can open and send\recieve sms. i think the only permanent solution is to upgrade to 1.1.3 with itunes and start again (im asuming u got the bug using ziphone, i did). i installed isms as a backup sms service incase it stops working, which it does often. you cant look at recieved messages, but good for sending sms if sms.ap is playing up

My Phone is a Iphone Clone 32GB and its driving me Nuts! The phone indicates me that Ive received missed calls and SMS's but when I try to look them up, i can't find that darned SMS or missed call. I also want to know if i can download a new and easier software to the phone. And if its possible whats the best software?? Pleas someone help me as quick as possible. :C
