Question about Car Audio & Video
MTX subwoofer, pioneer amp. Sub playssound, but sound level is low coming from sub. Worked fine but now the sound level dropped. Connections are good, rechecked adjustments, gain, head unit etc... all looks good. When you turn the gain up it gets louder but not even close to where it used to be.I usually have it set at normal, but if i turned it all the way before it used to shake the car. now even with the gain all the way up its not even to where it was at the normal setting. If you take the rca's at the amp and unplug the left no change. unplug the right. no sound. so i checked the left and right rca's and plug in each one into the left input i get sound so i know both left and right rca's work. just no power behind it anymore. Im guessing the prob is with the amp, but i dont know if its a fuse or if its going bad or what.
You blew up a channel in your amp. Being that it's a Pioneer amp, I would throw it away and get another.
