    Turn Refrigerator off.

    Empty refrigerator and freezer.

    Let it thaw out

    Turn Refrigerator back on.

Fill refrigerator with the contents that was removed.

The sweating was cause by a frozen condensation line that is under the trim base, near the cooling coils.

Do not try to break up the accumulated ice at the bottom of the freezer. This may cause damage to the freezer cooling coils.

Do not use a hair dryer, because this may melt the plastic and will take a long time.

I just put my food in coolers with ice until the thawing process was finished. I have to make sure the doors are properly closed at all time, for this will create condensation and the freezer will freeze up the condensation line again, and the top shelf of the refrigerator will be wet as an indication.

I have not had any problems since the the last thaw.

Why is refrigerator heating around the inside frame of frig

Usually this is part of the condenser coil used to keep the edges of your refrigerator from sweating. It is normal if all else seems ok with your refrigerator. If it is not cooling as good as it used to cool you may need to vacuum the dust, lint and hair off of the condenser under the refrigerator.

Sweating and condensation just above the door

If you see a switch inside the refrig about , click to " save energy " , click it to " not save energy " . This will turn a heater on behind the strip , which will keep moisture from being between the frig and freezer door .

Viking all refrigerator

I just started having the same problem with my 48" frig/ freezer Viking Designer series 2 years old- this has been a hot summer, we were not home much and the AC in the house was set higher 78 degrees so the frig I guess had to work a bit more - when I open the door to the frig water droplets acually run down the interior of the door and the box insde is always damp - I also have stress cracks in the interior shell of the frig - repairman is trying to get Viking to fix it- it has been a year now and it still is not fixed- the stress cracks were caused by improper insulation application to the inside of the frig according to the repair people- Also my handles have pealed - like the stainless steel is not really stainless steel - Any ways could the temp in the house changed - does not mean the frig should not work well - For what it costs, I expected better

Frig side is not cooling.

Check if there is frost on the back wall of the freezer, if so it is not defrosting. Many GE fridges need a new defrost heater every couple of years. If it's not defrosting, you can get by for a while by unplugging the fridge and leaving the freezer door open for 24 hrs, then plugging back in.
