Question about Dell Computers & Internet
When clicking on Start, then Computer - my Toshiba laptop do not recognize HD-DVD drive any more. Was working perfect just yesterday, but now it just disappeared from the screen as if it does not exist any more. All I see is Vista(C:) and data (E:). Where the disc drive (F:) disappeared? When I try to play any disc, the drive spins, green light is on, but nothing happens. Can anyone explain how to find out why laptop do not recognize DVD disc drive and hoe to sort it? I have Vista Home Premium installed.
It is probably a hardware problem but I would go into the BIOS screen which it gives you instructions when your first booting up on how to do this. One inside the bios screen, which is usually blue, find a list of what hardwares are pre programmed in, maybe under drive managment. Almost all computers have different wordings. See if it listed amogst your hardware, if it is, it may be turned off some how, see if you can turn it back on.
