Model 01902 2350 psi . engine runs fine , sprays out nozzle but lower pressure and water sprays out plastic elbow on relief valve , that is supose to **** in soap if used , cant hold finger over spray from elbow , high pressure , took apart relief valve and plastic valves all orings are ok , brass pump seals look ok , all back together , still blows out elbow . ?? plastic spools were out by somebody else , not sure if they are in right , cant find picture to compare .

It sounds as if the non return valve in the elbow is the wrong way around .The o-ring normally goes in first then the ball then the spring. Try it and good luck.

You will need to adjust your pressure.
Heaters with Hot Surface Ignitor technology are extremely critical to pump pressure. If the pressure is off by 1/2 psi, the heater may run for 5 seconds, then shut down because of IGNITION FAILURE. The only way to correct this problem is to set the pump pressure to DESA's recommended pressure specification.
  1. The FIRST STEP in diagnosing any heater problem should be checking the output of the air pump. Determine the air pressure required for the heater model that is being tuned. The air pump, in turn, is responsible for fuel delivery.

Soapy water lightly sprayed in these areas will quickly identify the problem most of the time. Any air leak will create problems.

I have a Honda GCV 160 Homelite 2700 PSI 2.3 GPM pressure cleaner and it has been working fine until today. While the pressure cleaner was running (not spraying at the time) I noticed that underneath


It sounds like a pressure relief valve. That part is usually disposable. You can try looking for the part at a Northern Tool store or you just remove the relief valve and replace it with a brass screw in plug the same size as the valve. When replacing parts like this, always use a Teflon tape on the threads! Best of luck!

I bought a new 2600 psi pressure washer. It starts great. The pressure starts out fine. However, when I disengage the spray nozzle lever and then push it again there is along delay before I get any...


Hi. I think the problem may be called either vapor lock or cavitation, or it could be called something else, but the solution is to take the wand apart in the center and let the trapped water escape, then putting it back together before re-engaging the lever.

STARTS AND RUNS FINE BUT WHEN I START WASHING IT QUITS SPRAYING AND THEN BUILDS PRESSURE AND KILLS ENGINE


The reason it stops spraying might be a clogged gun, hose or nozzle-tip.
The reason for pressure buildup killing the engine might be a stuck unloader valve in the pump.

While you are checking each component of the "output" side, spray some penetrating lube into the "input" side of the pump (where the garden hose connects) and let it be working on the unloader valve.

Fix the spraying problem first:
Start at the nozzle and verify that it is open by using low-pressure air. Clean or replace as needed. Next check the hose (with nozzle and gun unhooked) and finally the gun/trigger mechanism.
All must be clear and open to perform correctly.

Next, pour a few ounces of power steering fluid (or similarly LIGHT oil) into the garden hose, attach it to the pump and turn on the water supply.

Leave the "output" hose, gun, etc. UNHOOKED and point the output port of the pump (where the high-pressure hose connects) towards a vacant, safe area.
Startup the engine and allow the oil in the garden hose to work its way thru. (About 1 -3 minutes of run-time.) Shut it down and attach the high-pressure hose.
Hope this solves the problem!
